BENEFITS BY TEXTILE WEIGHT
Denier is the measure of a textile’s linear mass. A higher denier
means more strength and durability, while lower denier fabrics are
lighter in weight. Arc’teryx uses a range of deniers from 20d to 155d.
For high exertion activities, warm conditions, better compressibility
and reduced weight, choose the lightest and most breathable lower
denier fabrics.
For durability and abrasion resistance, choose hardwearing, abrasion
resistant, higher denier fabrics.

NORVAN 7 & 14 HYDRATION VEST:

The Norvan 14 Hydration Vest was developed to deliver the capacity
to travel long distances with a level of fit and comfort not yet seen
in the category. Built to carry the calories, hydration and equipment
needed for extended exploration in wild places, the Norvan carries

DESIGNED FOR FIT
The Norvan Hydration Vest was a collaboration between apparel
and pack design. Starting with the Arc‘teryx‘ apparel design team‘s
expertise in patterning and fit, our pack design team added an
understanding of load carriage and adjustability. The result is a
hydration vest that fit likes clothing but functions as a pack with the
ability to carry all the gear needed to free trail runners to travel long
distances more comfortably than ever before.

NORVAN LD
SHOE
TRAIL RUNNING SHOE
The Norvan LD is specifically designed for all-day comfort on extended
trail runs. With lightweight construction, functional support, and
versatile grip, the Norvan LD’s material choices and geometry ensure
long-distance performance and comfort while delivering the protection
and durability required for movingacross unpredictable terrain.
ALL-DAY COMFORT
Comfort is performance, and as time and distance accumulate,
comfort becomes increasingly vital. The Norvan LD is designed
to provide the seamless heel-to-toe ride, underfoot protection,
and compliant upper needed to deliver performance comfort on
extended trail runs.
VERSATILE GRIP
Secure, confident footing is needed to handle the variety of
trail surfaces encountered over long distances. The Norvan
LD employs Vibram ® Megagrip rubber and an ergonomically
patterned 3.5mm evolved square-shaped lugs to create an
outsole that delivers assured traction across varied terrain.
LIGHTWEIGHT
At just over 300g, no effort is wasted while running longdistances
on the trail. The Norvan LD’s single layer mesh upper
is lightweight, yet surprisingly durable, and strategically placed
TPU film and a synthetic toecap add necessary protection without
adding unnecessary weight.

PERFORMANCE AT EVERY PHASE
CONTACT
At the contact phase, runners land with
a force several times their bodyweight,
generating repeated shock and
vibration throughout the foot and body.
The Norvan LD’s midsole is comprised
of an EVA/Polyolefin elastomer blend
that works to mitigate these contact
phase forces and provide noticeable,
lasting comfort over longer distances.

During this phase, the foot pronates
or flattens to provide the body
with a stable base of support.
Key components of the Norvan
LD’s upper and bottom unit work
in concert to comfortably and
confidently hold the foot.
PROPULSION
As a runner takes off from the ground,
their forefoot widens considerably.
The Norvan LD toe box is constructed
to accommodate this expansion for
maximum comfort. Underfoot, the
midsole material is specifically selected
to generate a dynamic toe-off for
efficient propulsion with less effort.

Your posture continually adjusts as you climb and descend rugged
terrain. Walking up steep hills necessitates a forward lean, and your
back is lengthened accordingly.
Most hip belts do not accommodate this movement and will lift off
the hips and back down once your back is straightened, which can
cause chaffing or discomfort over time.

environments. The Konseal FL combines a TPU midfoot chassis, raised
midsole perimeter sidewalls, and a Vibram ® Megagrip outsole to
provide the stability and grip required for varied terrain and shifting
conditions.

The Konseal FL’s upper and bottom units’ geometries combine with

Lugs are strategically shaped and placed to provide
friction at the toe for smearing smooth surfaces and
ease of stride on flats and trails. The heel leverages a
square edge to enhance braking on descents, and the
Vibram ® Megagrip rubber compound helps maintain
secure footing in wet or dry conditions.

HOW TO WASH YOUR GORE-TEX ®
Regular laundering is critical to the performance of your
GORE-TEX ® garment. We recommend every three months
minimum; sooner if the garment has been used extensively.

Tumble in machine for 20 minutes at high heat to reactivate
DWR
If the DWR can no longer be reactivated, reapply treatment
using spray-on or wash-in product.

Dry for up to 3 hours, until down is fully dry

Remove immediately
Store down garments, unstuffed, in a dry place
