Easter Bunny Photo
Experience return to
Orland Square
Simon is to host its annual
Easter celebration festivities
at Orland Square.
Offering families an opportunity
to participate in
traditional and unique seasonal
events, the Bunny
Photo Experience was to
begin March 8 and is to run
through 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday,
April 20. The new
photography set, which for
the first time in nearly 25
years features a cushioned
porch swing with accent
lights and flowered trees
creating an outdoor cottage
scene, is located in
the lower level JCPenney
wing. Children can visit
with the Bunny to take
home a treasured snapshot
of the fun occasion.
Orland Square also provides
an opportunity for
people with all spectrums
of special needs and their
families to enjoy this holiday
tradition through a
sensory-friendly Caring
Bunny event in association
with Autism Speaks.
Caring Bunny is to occur
from 8:30-10 a.m. Sunday,
April 7, prior to the mall
opening, while the Bunny
Photo Experience will collect
donations for Autism
Speaks during the duration
of the season.
The set, located in the
JCPenney wing of the lower
level, will take many
steps to reduce sensory
triggers, creating a more
comforting environment
for children’s cherished
visit with the Bunny. The
subdued environment will
implement the following.
• Turning off in-mall
music, stopping escalators
located near the photo set,
dimming the lights and
shutting down fountains
for the duration of the
event
• Eliminating queue
lines and using a numbering
system whereby guests
approach the set when
their number is called
• Special activities
geared toward the needs
of guests during the ‘wait’
period
Guests can register in
advance at simon.com/caringbunny.
Additionally, the Pet
Photo Night returns to the
Easter Bunny Photo Experience
at Orland Square
this year. Many pet owners
view their pet as an integral
member of the family
and are just as committed
in caring for their pets as
their human family members.
Pet Photo nights are
hosted after regular mall
closing, and the set gets an
extensive cleaning following
the event to remove
any potential risk to allergy-sufferers.
Pet Photo
Night at Orland Square is
slated for 6-8 p.m. Sunday,
March 31.
