The Mushroom Research Centre. A bliss. An ideal place to learn Mycology.
Personally, the fungal diversity workshop has helped me a lot to widen my knowledge in
Mycology. I am very fortunate to be chosen as one of the participants of this workshop
because I was able to work with international mycologists. I will never forget all the knowledge
and skills they have shared us during classroom discussions, laboratory activities and field work.
They provided us with a deeper understanding about biodiversity and made us realize that as
aspiring mycologists we should know our responsibilities.
Also, It was a great opportunity to work with foreign students from America, Sri Lanka, China,
Myanmar, Laos and Thailand. I learned a lot from them. I hope one day, we can come up with
a big project that will contribute to fungal diversity. More brains, more ideas. The interaction
with them, joint activities and field work made me realized that there is so much research to be
