Friendly folk
Magnificent headboards are
one of Kit’s signature features,
which grew from decorating
the bedrooms for the ten hotels
in the Firmdale stable. The
headboards draw the eye to the
bed, providing a focal point
for the whole room. This one
is upholstered in one of her
designs for Andrew Martin,
‘Friendly Folk’. In a clever play
of positive/negative, Kit has
paired the orange-on-white
print with the white-on-orange
of her ‘Wychwood’ design. The
chest of drawers to the left is
covered in ‘Over the Moon’.

CARIBBEAN DREAMS
In the bedroom area of the Turnell & Gigon
Caribbean Suite, another of Kit’s fabulous
headboards and the cushions are upholstered
in Scumacher’s richly embroidered ‘Under the
Sea’ fabric. The walls are covered with ‘Sari
Sea’ by Raoul Textiles in a bespoke colourway.
