RETIREMENTS<br />
Donna Wheeler, Records<br />
Manager, retired effective May<br />
2, <strong>2018</strong> after an impressive 36<br />
year career with the BCSO. She<br />
began her career on February 1,<br />
1982. Donna knows the Sheriff’s<br />
Office better than anyone.<br />
Lt. Scott Thomas, Patrol,<br />
finished his career at the Sheriff’s<br />
Office on December 31, <strong>2018</strong>. His<br />
calling to law enforcement began<br />
April 1, 1985. Lt. Thomas provided<br />
outstanding leadership for 33<br />
years, and is a true lawman.<br />
Deputy Terry<br />
Sudderth retired December<br />
31, <strong>2018</strong> after serving his community<br />
for 25 years. Deputy Sudderth<br />
worked honorably for the<br />
citizens of Blount County in Court<br />
Services, and is loved by those he<br />
served with.<br />
Sgt. Jeff Hicks was one of<br />
the first SRO’s in Blount County in<br />
1996, and is fondly remembered<br />
by those who served with him and<br />
the students he mentored over<br />
the years. He finished his service<br />
with the BCSO on December 31,<br />
<strong>2018</strong> with 27 years of service.<br />
Lt. Rob Nease served as the<br />
Assistant Director of the Fifth Judicial<br />
Drug Task Force. He retired<br />
December 31, <strong>2018</strong>. He began<br />
his career at Maryville P.D., and<br />
came to work with the BCSO in<br />
2000. He has provided leadership<br />
and guidance to those who served<br />
with and under him.<br />
