Russel John<br />

Nelson, 71, of Tinley Park,<br />

died April 8. Russel was<br />

a U.S. Army veteran who<br />

served in Vietnam, and<br />

was a member and past<br />

commander of VFW Bremen<br />

Post 2791 in Tinley<br />

Park. He was a longtime<br />

pipefitter with Hill Mechanical<br />

and Union Local<br />

597. He is survived<br />

by his wife of 45 years,<br />

Marcia Nelson; children,<br />

Kim (Wayne) Valente and<br />

Russell (Brandy) Nelson;<br />

grandchildren, Harley<br />
