Maybe you have recently seen beautifully decorated
smoothie bowls on your Instagram feed
and you’re looking to dive into the smoothie
bowl fun. Smoothie bowls are a healthy way to
start off your day. If you have ever wondered
how to construct a healthy, delicious and gorgeous
smoothie bowl, here are some tips. The
most important part of a smoothie bowl is the
smoothie. For any smoothie, healthy or not, one
of the most important things is the liquid base
of the smoothie itself. A few healthy and delicious
smoothie bases are 100 percent fruit juices,
almond milk, kombucha, or kefir. After finding a
good base for your smoothie, add your favorite
fruits and veggies to your smoothie. It is important
to make sure that the fruits and veggies you
add go well with your base. For example, a pear
juice base with added broccoli does not sound
particularly appetizing. Fresh or frozen fruit can
both make for a healthy smoothie choice. Frozen
bananas in particular make an excellent addition
to any smoothie, as they make the smoothie
creamy and lighten up the color. A few traditional
fruit combinations are strawberry and banana,
strawberry, blueberry and banana, raspberry and
blueberry, and pineapple, banana and coconut. A
good veggie smoothie combo is kale and spinach.
However, the ultimate smoothie will combine
both fruits and veggies like the berries and beets,
pineapple and spinach, or whatever fruit-veggie
combination sounds best to you. Add-ins like protein
powder, honey, or peanut butter can really
make your smoothie. Additionally, greek yogurt
can be added to smoothies to make them creamier.
After you make your smoothie, the fun part
is making it look like something straight out of
a magazine. This is when you can add things on
top of your smoothie that might not blend well,
like almonds, or dark chocolate chunks. There are
also other good things to add on top like blueberries
or slices of banana to make the perfect
smoothie bowl.
