year attempts to focus on the eminent <strong>Buddhist</strong> pilgrimage sites in India that<br />

played a veritable role in defining the core principles of the <strong>Buddhist</strong> religion. In<br />

the 8D/7N tour extended by IRCTC, you get to visit places like Bodhgaya, Rajgir,<br />

Varanasi, Kushinagar, and Rajgir where Lord Buddha is known to spend a major<br />

part of his life after obtaining spiritual enlightenment. This new train is an<br />

updated version of the ten-year-old Rajdhani express that was previously being<br />

used for the <strong>Buddhist</strong> circuit tour earlier.<br />

The train consists of twelve aesthetically designed coaches <strong>with</strong> four First class AC<br />

coach, two-second class AC coach, one kitchen car, two dining coaches, two<br />

power coaches, and one coach is reserved for the staff for a hassle-free journey.<br />

The package also includes a trip to Taj Mahal in Agra at the end of the tour. Apart<br />

from the spacious cabins and accommodations, the train is decked up <strong>with</strong> hi-tech


modern amenities like CCTV cameras, smoke detection system to meet the<br />

requirements of travelers onboard. You can scroll through the library to banish<br />

boredom during the journey and you get basic facilities like coffee and purified<br />

water <strong>with</strong>out additional costs. You will also find a foot massager <strong>with</strong> a sofa in<br />

the second class coach which lets the guests relax and enjoy the slow pace of the<br />

journey.<br />

The LHB kitchen coach equipped <strong>with</strong> high tech kitchen gadgets and equipment is<br />

a brilliant addition to the train which guarantees that every passenger is served<br />

hygienically prepared meals. The rooms are comfortable <strong>with</strong> inbuilt lockers to<br />

ensure the highest level of safety for the passengers. The train has luxury toilet<br />

facilities <strong>with</strong> geysers and showers but still, the tour allows the guests to stop at<br />

hotels for overnight stays or to freshen up themselves. At every destination,<br />

guests are provided <strong>with</strong> luggage assistance for a fuss-free experience.


The dining coaches offer ample room for guests to enjoy their meals in the most<br />

elaborate manner. The glass windows are fitted <strong>with</strong> Venetian blinds to let the<br />

guests enjoy the views of the outsides. These coaches can accommodate up to 64<br />

people at a time and are decked <strong>with</strong> facilities you get in five-star hotels like hot<br />

plates, bottle chillers, deep freezer, microwave oven, and a dishwasher. The train<br />

is designed to highlight the notable features of India like yoga postures, heritage<br />

buildings, Wildlife and dance forms which can be seen on the vinyl covers used in<br />

the train.


The entire tour is extremely well organized <strong>with</strong> an impeccable network of luxury<br />

buses and hotels <strong>with</strong> timely arrival and departures. Security guards remain<br />

present on the train to ensure a safe journey for the guests. Sightseeing trips to<br />

all <strong>Buddhist</strong> sites are accompanied by knowledgeable English speaking guides who<br />
