Magazine Promotion<br />
Cup ‘o’ Tea Cabinetry<br />
Beautiful pieces of furniture fitted to their<br />
purpose – this was the inspiration behind the<br />
Cup ‘o’ Tea cabinetry. I originally designed<br />
and custom-made these pieces to house<br />
everything required for our mid-morning and<br />
mid-afternoon tea and coffee break rituals.<br />
With open shelves to display individuality<br />
in our crockery and tea pot choices,<br />
to cupboards for storing away the array of<br />
teas, coffees and sugars below – everything in<br />
one place for that cup ‘o’ tea moment.<br />
I noticed a TV chef had the interior of his<br />
glass fronted cabinets painted black, this had<br />
a dramatic effect. The Shaker doors seemed<br />
to frame what they homed and I incorporated<br />
this design detail into my cabinetry. Carefully<br />
chosen pieces now have their place and allow<br />
a bit of personality to surface. It is these wee<br />
details that say ‘this is our kitchen’.<br />
