In addition to the lovely old building, beautiful grounds and gardens, as owners and managers to our fantastic<br />

team, we pride ourselves on offering a warm welcoming service to you and your guests. Your wedding is<br />

unique and incredibly personal, therefore, we guarantee that there are no simultaneous events such that<br />

everyone (including ourselves) can focus 100% on seeing that you have the time of your lives, with memories<br />

to treasure forever.<br />

We are very lucky to call <strong>Caer</strong> <strong>Llan</strong> our home, this is where we live, laugh, work, play and raise our own little<br />

Your <strong>Wedding</strong><br />

We recognise the trust you place in us when you book your<br />

big day here. It is a day you will look forward to with huge<br />

anticipation and excitement and we will never take that<br />

lightly.<br />

We are here to offer help, guidance, and reassuring advice<br />

throughout the planning stages of your wedding.<br />

As part of this service we have various online planning<br />

which is bespoke to <strong>Caer</strong> <strong>Llan</strong> whereby you can keep<br />

track of your guest list, bedroom allocations and create<br />

asked questions<br />

• Friends of <strong>Caer</strong> <strong>Llan</strong> – a list of some of our favourite<br />

In addition we will be there on the day itself to discretely<br />

coordinate the smooth running of your wedding day.


Getting Ready<br />

The Bridal Suite is a wonderful room in which to prepare<br />

for the wedding. It is a large airy room with a huge<br />

balcony that has far-reaching views across the Vale of Usk.


The Ceremony<br />

With capacity for up to 88 daytime guests <strong>Caer</strong> <strong>Llan</strong> is<br />

licensed to hold marriages and civil partnerships with<br />

indoor and outdoor options. With a choice of conference or<br />

chiavari chairs available you can then choose to provide your<br />

own personal touches and decorations such as bunting and<br />

mantelpiece displays, gazebo decor or even a floral arch from<br />

your chosen florist.<br />

The large windows at the end of the room offer a stunning<br />

scenic backdrop whilst you exchange your vows.


Drinks &<br />

Canapes<br />

The patios at <strong>Caer</strong> <strong>Llan</strong> provide a truly magical location to<br />

celebrate with friends and family, whilst a choice of reception<br />

drinks and exquisitely prepared canapes are available for you<br />

to enjoy.<br />

Don’t worry too much about the great British weather as as<br />

we also have lovely indoor areas for your drinks reception.

Breakfast<br />

We will set the room up to accommodate your wedding breakfast<br />

with your centrepieces, placecards and favours.<br />

Choose from one of our three dining styles:<br />

Traditional 3 course table served meal<br />

or our quirky afternoon Vintage Tea<br />

In all cases, our mouth-watering dishes are freshly prepared on site<br />

by our head chef and his team, using only the finest ingredients,<br />

locally sourced where appropriate.<br />

We do of course cater for all specific diets, allergies and food<br />

intolerances on a very individual basis and we take great pride in the<br />

fantastic feedback we receive from all our guests.


Three course<br />

dining<br />

For the 3 course dining experience, we ask you to choose<br />

two starters, one meat and one vegetarian main course and<br />

two desserts ahead of time. Your guests can select their<br />

starter and dessert on the day, we do ask that the main<br />

course is pre-ordered. We then consider all the dietary<br />

requirements (and any known “fussy” eaters) and will<br />

provide suitable derivatives to suit each individual.<br />

We have a separate children’s menu and our kitchen table<br />

plan will inform us of the whereabouts of the place settings<br />

for all children and special diets so as to ensure a seamless<br />

and efficient service for your meal.


Buffet<br />

We invite you table by table to choose your favourites from<br />

our sumptuous buffet offering. When more than 50 guests<br />

are present we will have 2 identical buffets to speed up<br />

service.<br />

We ensure the food will not run out, with our team on<br />

hand to help serve and replenish as you fill your plates. We<br />

encourage guests to come and help themselves to second<br />

helpings, thirds, fourths....before<br />

we clear in the plates and serve your dessert.


Vintage Tea<br />

Our beautifully British vintage tea party offers a fun<br />

and quirky feel to the wedding breakfast but ultimately<br />

leads to a wonderfully social and relaxed afternoon. We<br />

supply the vintage crockery (at no extra cost)…you supply<br />

the bunting!<br />

All your tea party food and vintage crockery will be<br />

beautifully presented on the tables before your guests are<br />

invited to sit down. We are on hand throughout to ensure<br />

that the food platters and tea pots are replenished.<br />

Your guests will delight in the lovingly prepared plentiful<br />

feast with everything freshly made here just for you.


Alone time<br />

Speeches<br />

The grounds at <strong>Caer</strong> <strong>Llan</strong> have a wealth of secret gardens,<br />

nooks and paths for you to explore and spend a few precious<br />

moments alone together. They also present a supurb<br />

opportunity for your photographer to capture those magical<br />

moments that last an eternity.<br />

When everyone is full and in need of a rest, or a few more<br />

glasses of bubbles. We will quietly move around the room<br />

and ensure that everyone has a toast drink to hand. It is<br />

time for you to give thanks to loved ones, send thoughts to<br />

those not present and of course for you to endure the best<br />

man’s speeches.<br />

To make sure that everyone can enjoy every detail of the<br />

speeches we also provide a wireless microphone and PA<br />

system.


Have some fun<br />

The quiet and private location gives your guests the<br />

opportunity to have fun, socialise, catch up and enjoy each<br />

other’s company. You can enjoy the garden and the grounds,<br />

gaze at the mesmerizing view or lounge in the piano bar.<br />

We want everyone to have the best time whilst they are<br />

here, and we have a few exceptions to the norm which we<br />

hope will help us achieve that.<br />

Cutting the cake<br />

First Dance<br />

Following the arrival of your additional evening guests,<br />

it’s time to kick start your reception by cutting the cake.<br />

With plenty of room for everyone to crowd around, your<br />

photographer and guests can capture the moment as<br />

together you cut the first slice.<br />

Having cut the cake you can move seamlessly onto the<br />

dance floor for your first dance. There is plenty of room<br />

for you to throw some shapes and for everyone to get a<br />

photo.


Evening<br />

Entertainment<br />

With an evening capacity of 120 people, there is always<br />

a wonderful atmosphere at <strong>Caer</strong> <strong>Llan</strong>. You may wish to<br />

book a band or a DJ to play all the dance floor fillers while<br />

the sun sets and the drinks flow.<br />

Alternatively you can use our inhouse PA system with<br />

lights which will plug straight in to your phone or iPod so<br />

that you can enjoy your own DIY playlist.<br />

Before long the dance floor will be full and the<br />

celebrations will be well and truly underway.


Still Hungry?<br />

For your evening reception there are four options of<br />

food to choose from:<br />

BBQ<br />

or Hog Roast.<br />

The food during the evening reception is served to<br />

everyone on environmentally friendly disposable<br />

plates with no formal dining tables set up. This<br />

means that the guests are free to eat wherever they<br />

choose…in the bar, lounge areas & any of the<br />

outside areas.


Drinks with a view<br />

Your guests will adore the outside terrace area, there’s<br />

no place better to enjoy a beautiful sunset: the view<br />

goes on for miles without a car in sight.


Accommodation<br />

The venue hire at <strong>Caer</strong> <strong>Llan</strong> includes the use of our 16 en<br />

suite guest bedrooms. The rooms are spacious, versatile,<br />

full of character and are split between the Main house (9<br />

bedrooms) and the immediately adjacent ground floor eco<br />

extension known as the Berm House (7 bedrooms). You<br />

choose who stays where...<br />

Wheelchair access<br />

We have a disabled parking bay immediately outside the<br />

main house and level access for wheelchair users throughout<br />

the ground floor of the house and patios. We also have a<br />

disabled toilet facility within our washroom complex and<br />

1 of the 7 ground floor berm house bedrooms features a<br />

wheelchair friendly en suite wet room.


Meet the team<br />

Since graduating as a civil engineer from the University of<br />

Brighton in 1991, Jake has spent his entire working life at <strong>Caer</strong><br />

<strong>Llan</strong> building and developing the property and business. Early<br />

in her career Vicky was a flight attendant in the Middle East,<br />

she went on to manage restaurants in Spain, France and the<br />

UK before switching direction to Chester University where she<br />

gained a degree in IT & French.<br />

When Jake and Vicky started working together in 2007,<br />

the husband and wife team had a wide range of skills but the<br />

common denominator was hospitality and event management.<br />

They continue to offer a very hands on approach to each and<br />

every event that takes place at <strong>Caer</strong> <strong>Llan</strong>.<br />

How it all works and the prices...<br />

.<br />

<strong>Caer</strong> <strong>Llan</strong> is an exclusive use venue, you pay a single venue<br />

hire for the day of your wedding. We host weddings on<br />

Tuesdays, Thursdays with or without accommodation and on<br />

Saturdays with one or two nights accommodation.<br />

Our maximum capacity is<br />

• 88 day guests (wedding ceremony and wedding reception)<br />

• 120 evening guests ( total for evening reception)<br />

Accommodation is available, our wonderful bridal suite is<br />

offered to you free of charge, we have an additional 15 versatile<br />

rooms offered to your guests at £150 per room, per night<br />

which includes a hearty cooked breakfast.<br />

For a Saturday night there is a requirement to book at least 8<br />

bedrooms.<br />

Check in and check out times are 10.30am, except for a full<br />

weekend stay whereby check-in is 4pm Friday and check-out<br />

is 12pm Sunday.<br />

Every wedding is unique and so instead of multiple wedding<br />

packages we have produced a basic bundle as a starting place<br />

to aid in your planning. This includes the meals and drinks<br />

that are expected on the day. You can then add in additional<br />

services and upgrades so as to tailor your wedding to your<br />

wishes.<br />

For your wedding breakfast, your chosen table layout will be<br />

dressed using white linen, cutlery, wine and water glasses.<br />

We will then decorate the tables using your centrepieces, flowers<br />

and wedding favours whilst configuring the place settings<br />

according to your table plan.<br />

The capacity of the main room is 68. The adjoining conservatory<br />

has large doors that open up increasing the size of the space,<br />

thus allowing a further 20 people to be seated on one long table.<br />

The full daytime dining capacity is therefore 88 people.<br />

This capacity should include babies and children when planning<br />

a guest list.<br />

We have a range of banqueting tables that can be used to<br />

create the layout of your choice. You may wish to mix and<br />

match by using round tables in the front section of the room<br />

and long tables in the hall area.<br />

The top table holds 10 people, you can choose from either a<br />

round or a horseshoe table.<br />
