The designer chose to use large area of white and blue in this space. It not only
enhances the openness of the original spatial layout, but highlights the relaxing
atmosphere of Mediterranean interior. The freshness and comfort of Mediterranean
style is welcomed by young, especially female home buyers.
The designer challenged the original linear spatial layout and added a considerable
number of curvy elements of decoration and furniture in the design of the living room.
These gentle curves give a soothing impression that softens the hard, cold image of
modern residences. In the corner of the floor-to-ceiling window, there is a decorative
fireplace with similar curved design elements. Fabrics like curtains and cushions use
varying blue to create the quiet atmosphere of beach and waves, together with creamcoloured
sofa.
