This project is the home for a young couple and their two children. Though
being parents and longing for the girls’ laughter in the apartment, Lucas and
Kelly still expect to enjoy a residence as refreshing as before. For them, home
is the place where child care and blue-toned romance finds a perfect balance.
In addition, the clients required an open kitchen in the hope that they can keep
an eye on the children in the living room while the two of them are cooking. It
can also make the living room an exclusive playground for the children.

Lazybone-style turquoise sofa is chosen for the living room, where cold grey
flooring and dusty blue furniture form an intense marine themed combination
which enhances the spatial transparency. The ceiling uses beige wood grating
as a simple and harmonious segment that increases the warmth of the space.
When the children grow up, the space under the wood grating will provide a
library-like space for reading. Moreover, the large window in the living room
stands as the focal point of infinite space of family life; as everyone returns
home, they will be drawn spontaneously to the landscape framed by the window,
and the comfortable lounge beside the window harbours the husband for a cosy
sight-watching time while the wife can always find her favourite spot with her
laptop and a nice cup of coffee to enjoy a working afternoon.
