About Stu
Driven and passionate, if you ask anyone for two words that sum me up these would
be the most commonly heard words. Along with; talented, caring, lovely and
focussed. And all of this is what I bring to my clients.
Being a husband, a father, and cancer survivor, I understand emotion and
compassion. I am not just a wedding photographer to pay the bills, I do it because I
love it, and it fills my life with amazing things. My clients, being part of their day,
capturing little slices of history filled with emotion, it ticks my boxes. It is my passion.
I also bring a drive, and it’s obvious from the moment you meet me. Always wanting
to excel and be the best I can be in both the images I create and the experience for
you my client. From starting out on my photography journey to being seen in Vogue,
was only 4 years, and along the way I have picked up local recognition and awards.
Now shooting weddings all over the UK and across the world. My work is regularly
featured in leading industry publications and blogs and I am recommended by many
top venues.

Approach
My approach to your wedding day is the key factor that
makes me different from other wedding photographers.
Living your wedding day with you, being part of it, at the
heartbeat of it. This allows me to capture the feel of the
day, and more significantly your personalities. For me, it is
important that your guests accept me as one of them. This
lets me be in the middle of it, right in the action and not
on the edge. I am not a bossy overpowering person who
will orchestrate your day, nor am I a quiet, unsociable,
retiring type. I am a confident, personable, passionate
professional who wants to deliver the best for each and
everyone of his clients.
My clients trust me and feel very comfortable with me
being around them. I am involved in some of the most
intimate moments of a wedding day...... brides putting
their dress on, dad’s first sight of you all dressed and
ready, I am at the front with you both during the
ceremony... without trust these images will not have the
real emotions and will feel more staged and
uncomfortable.

Style
I get asked a lot, “What is your main style of
photography? Candids, formal, posed?” This is a great
question, and probably one of the most difficult to
answer.
I used to be heavily into the reportage style, candids. But
this was not working for me and my creative “soul,” and
ultimately I was getting disheartened with what I was
delivering to my clients. Not that it was terrible or that my
clients did not love their pictures; it just felt as though I
was shooting a wedding by recipe. So I re-addressed how I
approach a wedding day and what I want to produce out
of it. I think style is made up of these two elements,
approach and output. One directly affects the other.
I want to deliver to you elegant and sophisticated pictures
that will stand the test of time. Classic, but not traditional.
Modern, but not trendy alternative (black skinny ripped
jeans do not suit me). I recently had my work reviewed by
another successful wedding photographer. Their
comments were “You have an interesting, unique style. It
is not the whimsical and airy or stiff and traditional stuff.
You’ve got this high end, informally-formal feel. Very
classy.” Their words, not mine.

We could not be happier with the whole experience Stu provided. At the prewedding
meeting, he came to our house, and he made us feel so at ease with
everything. He gave us simple instructions on certain parts of the day to
maximise the effect of the photographs. On the morning of the wedding, he

When it comes to choosing a photographer you have to
choose very wisely. We had Stu booked for well over
24 Months. That should be the end of my review as it
speaks for its self really….
Totally under control, awesome pictures from a guy
who knows just exactly what to capture to get that
“wow” factor when you look at the extraordinary
LEGACY book.
No airbrushing, No Trickery, the experience shows that
through attention to detail perfection can be achieved.
We had a themed wedding where we were in period
attire, as were our guests, as was Stu.
