War of the Roses<br />

Living History Weekend<br />

Saturday 18 & Sunday 19 <strong>May</strong>,<br />

Meet the members of the Oxford<br />

and Stanley households who will be<br />

camping in our Ambion Arena for<br />

the weekend. See combat sessions,<br />

bill drills, armour talks and much<br />

In the Footsteps of<br />

Richard III Walk<br />

Visit the sites where King Richard III<br />

stayed and prayed before the Battle<br />

of Bosworth in August 1485.<br />

Enjoyable 4-hour walk (approx 6km)<br />

with our experienced guide. No dogs<br />

allowed due to livestock along the<br />

route. Adult £9, concession £8, child<br />

(8-16) £6. Pre-booking essential.<br />

Come and explore our awardwinning<br />

exhibition through the eyes<br />

of a Tudor peasant who witnessed<br />

Plant Hunter’s Fair<br />

Many stalls from top nurseries in<br />

our Ambion Arena, with something<br />

special for every garden. £1 per<br />

Vintage & Handmade Festival<br />

Celebrating all things vintage and<br />

handmade. Local traders, craft, local<br />

produce and antiques will all be on<br />

offer on stalls in the Heritage Room,<br />

Ambion Arena and our Cabins. £2<br />

gardens today, you’re sure of a big<br />

surprise as today’s the day the<br />

teddy bears have their picnic! Bring<br />

your own bear and join in the fun!<br />

Morris Dancing<br />

& Mummers Play<br />

Sunday 2 June, 2-4pm<br />

Dolphin Morris will be dancing in<br />

our beautiful garden as well as<br />

performing a short play that shows<br />

the trial of six Morris dancers who<br />

were tried and found guilty by a<br />

Puritan Church court of “profaning<br />

the Sabbath” by dancing on<br />

Sunday in 1618.<br />
