Dr. Poetis is the strategic head of the POWERGROUP, developer of <strong>Business</strong> Design Thinking and is responsible for the development<br />
of well-known international brands and innovative concepts. The company grew out of a management buy-out of the TBWA division<br />
of the Omnicom Group, the world's largest agency network (revenue: 15 bn; employees: 79,500), of which Dr. Poetis was a member of<br />
the European executive committee. He previously was CEO of various subsidiaries of the Delton AG/Quandt Group, a privately held<br />
holding which has large share-holdings in BMW and other important German companies, and thus is among the world's ten largest<br />
family offices.<br />
Dr. Poetis focuses in particular on the specialist area of M&A strategy, within the framework of which he has initiated a number of<br />
successful joint ventures and project financing.<br />
Current projects which are managed by the POWERGROUP in Pakistan:<br />
• Made in Pakistan with German Engineering<br />
German-Pakistani cooperation projects with focus on technological upgrade and vocational training<br />
• We Care Everwhere in cooperation with Siemens Healthineers<br />
Technical upgrade of hospital equipment with the aim of making Pakistan an attractive location for medical care.<br />
• Change needs Energy<br />
Projects focusing on generation, deployment and financing of renewable energies<br />
Dr. Poetis is a visiting lecturer of marketing theory, practice and legal aspects at Berlin’s Technical University and the EUROFORUM.<br />
He has initiated several successful charitable movements for the needy as well as the victims of Pakistan’s flood catastrophe in<br />
2010. He is the founder of the German Association Trade & Economy (G.A.T.E.) to Pakistan and a long-standing member and former<br />
President of the German-Pakistan Forum.<br />

• Medal of Honour from the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Berlin, Germany, for extraordinary support of the victims<br />
of the great flood<br />
• Award from German Federal Family Minister Dr. Christine Schröder for extraordinary support of Germany's food bank organisation<br />
• Award from German Federal Family Minister Manuela Schwesig for extraordinary support of Germany's food bank organisation<br />
Dr. Poetis studied at Hamburg, Tübingen and Munich Universities and was awarded a Doctor of Laws Degree for his dissertation<br />
on the comparison of religious freedom in the USA and Germany written under the partial supervision of the Law School of the<br />
University of Maryland in the USA.<br />

Mrs. Poetis’ career encompasses a wide range of design assignments for international clothing (among<br />
others, for Aigner, Bogner, Rena Lange, Pierre Cardin, Louis Feraud, Elbeo, Sara Lee), FMCG products as well<br />
as ‘non-tactile’ design challenges for public sector projects and charities.<br />
As chief representative of the LIFE FUND Equity Invest, she focuses on investment opportunities in the area<br />
of scalable IT startups, Fintech, Insurtech and Telecom, cyber security and e-health. The LIFE FUND is a<br />
venture capital investment company which specializes, among others, in early-stage investment and helps<br />
start-ups reach maturity.<br />
With her sense of social responsibility she has initiated and managed several actions on the behalf of Pakistan<br />
including ‘Pakistan needs us now’ and the foundation of Patty’s Child Clinics Pakistan.<br />
‘Pakistan needs us now’ was launched as an emergency aid project to help the victims of the 2010 flood disaster<br />
with the reconstruction of schools and homes. The appeal for donations generated over 1.4 million euros.<br />
Patty's Child Clinics Pakistan consists of a network of currently three clinics and is being continuously<br />
expanded. Patty's Child Clinics have already brought over 3,500 healthy children into the world. A total of<br />
25 Patty's Child Clinics are planned to be built in Pakistan. To secure the expansion, Mrs. Poetis signed a<br />
Memorandum of Understanding with H.E. Aamir Mehmood Kiani, Federal Minister for National Health<br />
Services & Regulation, in October 2018.<br />
She is, since 1994, a university lecturer and member of jury for the graduating classes of ESMOD International<br />
Fashion School. She was also a member of jury and chairwoman of the creative board for brand development<br />
for BERLIN SCIENCES and works with directors of the Berlin Universities, international renowned architects<br />
and representatives from business and politics in Berlin.<br />
