KESHAV
Everything seemed to come to halt for this young and talented boy of
10 years, when his father, the only bread earner passed away. Life was
tough and even more challenging for this young boy who deep inside
him had so much hope and determination to step out into this world
one day to become someone and make himself and his family proud,
he always believed there was so much in store for him too. He was
studious and had passion for music.
Keshav’s dreams have come to the spotlight when ‘The Vidya Foundation’ spotted him
and had supported him throughout his academic journey. Today, Keshav is a proud BA
graduate from Delhi University with first division. Keshav by now has not only achieved
success academically but has also learned to play the guitar with confidence and truly
enjoys his passion. Today his education and music have earned him a good and decent
job to support himself and his family, he now works at British High Commission and goes
out to teach guitar on weekends. Keshav today has not kept any limit in achieving ones
dream, when asked about what he will do in future to come he said with a thankful heart,
“since I have been raised and supported I would also in full gratitude devote my free time
to teaching English and music to the under privileged to help them achieve their dreams.
KOMAL
Life was never easy for Komal, who lacked even the basic amenities in
her childhood. The eldest of four children, Komal has two younger
sisters and a brother. While her father was jobless, it was her mother
who strived day and night to provide for her family. Komal was given
classes by The Vidya Foundation and her hard work bore fruit when
she stood first in her school in the 10th and in the 12th..
She attended classes at The Vidya Foundation for English and Computers after enrolling in
“Mission Education to Employment” and along with this, she was also given one-on-one
sessions to encourage her. She was recently hired by the Embassy of Switzerland. Komal
stands out as a role model to people who are going through tough times but have the
determination to overcome these and work hard to fulfil their dreams. We are proud of
her and very happy about her achievements. We wish her all the best for her future.
