Departments<br />
Flexibility, inclusivity and<br />
age related learning<br />
Our school is divided into 3 distinct departments.<br />
Early Years 3-8 years, Middle <strong>School</strong> 8-14 years<br />
and Upper <strong>School</strong> 14-19 years. Within these<br />
departments there is flexibility dependent on<br />
individual need, to move learners up early or to<br />
extend their time in a particular department.<br />
Early Years<br />
3-8 years<br />
Communication, interaction and<br />
play are key components of our Early<br />
Years curriculum. Self-help skills<br />
such as toileting, eating, dressing,<br />
motor skills and most importantly<br />
‘learning to learn’ is incorporated<br />
into activities across the day. Support<br />
for our families is available from<br />
class staff, therapists and our Parent<br />
Support Advisors. It is very important<br />
to us that we build an excellent<br />
relationship with you and your child<br />
from the very start.<br />
