a Coffee & Conversation
that focuses on understanding
senior living centers,
featuring Mark Levy
from Senior Solutions.
The Coffee & Conversation
discussion on real estate
options for seniors and
retirees is to take place on
Thursday, June 27.
Coffee & Conversation
meetings feature free
giveaways, coffee, snacks
and educational topics.
People are encouraged to
bring a friend or guest to
the meetings. Coffee &
Conversation is co-sponsored

Council.
This month’s program
with Mark Levy will discuss
a wide range of topics
related to senior care.

Mark Levy, worked
for 28 years in corporate
America. He served as
vice president of operations
for an Illinois-based
company. In 2009, he suffered
a stroke at the age of
47.
While he was fortunate
enough to recover without
any long-term residual effects,
his life was forever
changed. He developed a
new perspective after navigating
the medical world
looking for direction.
In 2012, Mark transitioned
to the senior care
industry and opened his
office in Homewood.
Levy and his team are
dedicated to helping seniors
and their families
find the peace of mind
they deserve.
The Coffee & Conversations
are open and free
to the public and are held
at the Orland Fire Protection
District’s administration
building, 9790 W.
151st St. in Orland Park.
The meetings begin
promptly at 10 a.m. and
end at noon.

Orland Square announces
two upcoming events
Orland Square recently
announced two coming
events for the mall.
The first, Dressed to a
Tea, is to take place from
11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday,
June 15, on the lower
level JCPenney court, and
is to benefit The Bridge
Teen Center.
Reservations are required,
and there is a maximum
of four tickets per
person, at $15 per ticket.
Mothers, daughters, sisters
and friends can wear
their best spring attire for
this seated tea and fashion
charity event. It is to
feature semi-traditional
catered tea service and a
fashion walk-through from
the multiple retailers, gift
bags, prizes, photo opportunities,
and more.

Then, Cirque Italia is
to present “Paranormal
Cirque!” from July 4-7,
featuring cabaret with a
new, European style. The
show is geared toward a
mature audience.
The unit follows a strict
animal-free policy.

‘Logs to Lumber’ demo
coming to Orland Park
Rockler
Rockler Woodworking
and Hardware stores
including the one in Orland
Park will be hosting
a “Logs to Lumber”
weekend of woodworking
demonstrations by
renowned woodworking
expert George Vondriska.
Vondriska will show how
DIYers and woodworkers
can turn their backyard
tree into heirloom projects
and fireplace logs into usable
lumber. The public is
invited to attend these free
events.
The “Logs to Lumber”
demonstration will cover
the following topics: band
saw set-up, drift compensation,
blade selection,
shop-made jig for handling
the log, moisture content
and air-drying the lumber.
The Oralnd Park event is
to take place from 11 a.m.-
12:30 p.m. Sunday, June
16, at the store, 15758 S.
