Architecture across Boundaries, Conference Programme

Boundaries in architecture become increasingly
apparent when working in an international
context. Boundaries can mean geographical
borders or physical territories but also can refer
to social, cultural and professional difference.
Architectural practitioners working in an
international or global context often find that
while the projects are international, regulation
and professional practice methods and
procedures remain at the national level. The
aims of this conference are to bring together
practitioners, academics and professional
bodies from across China and internationally
to discuss the key issues, challenges/
opportunities, surrounding architectural
practice in the global context and showcase the
innovative and best practice methods architects
develop. The conference will build a platform
to share knowledge and foster collaborations
in order to develop research links and practice
collaborations between professional bodies,
academia and industry.
建 筑 领 域 的 边 界 在 国 际 背 景 下 变 得 越 发 明 显 。 边 界
既 可 以 指 地 理 或 领 域 边 界 , 也 可 以 指 社 会 、 文 化 和 专
业 差 异 。 在 国 际 或 全 球 背 景 下 工 作 的 建 筑 从 业 人 员
常 会 发 觉 尽 管 建 筑 项 目 是 国 际 性 的 , 但 建 筑 法 规 、 专
业 实 践 方 法 和 实 践 流 程 却 仍 停 留 在 国 家 层 面 。 本 次
大 会 的 目 的 就 是 汇 集 来 自 中 国 和 世 界 各 地 的 从 业 者 、
学 者 和 专 业 团 体 , 在 全 球 背 景 下 围 绕 建 筑 实 践 讨 论
焦 点 问 题 和 挑 战 机 遇 , 同 时 展 示 由 建 筑 师 所 开 发 的
具 有 创 新 性 的 、 最 佳 的 实 践 方 法 。
