Contradiction
Well I’m a techy by day, I’m a rocker by night
At times I’m on the left, at times I’m on the right
Well, I’m young are at heart, I hope mature in mind
I’ll really very different from those who are my kind
I’m living a split existence
I’m being a Jeckyll and Hyde
I am a contradiction
A first class case of contradiction
I need some sympathy, while I’m a mystery
Just look into my future, see my history
I’m the sarcastic type, But I’m really polite
While I’m praying for peace I’ll be putting up a fight
I’m living a split existence
I’m being a Jeckyll and Hyde
I am a contradiction
A first class case of contradiction
I’m a gregarious loner
I just don’t know what to do
It’s hard to reconcile the sides
When I want my cake and to eat it too
I’m suave and mature, insecure
an intellectual, a sentimental fool
I want to stay up late, that’s when I’m most awake
But the morning seems to put me in a wonderful state
2 and 2 make four, but if you ask me some more
I’ll say it’s 1 and 3
That’s what you need me for
Watch Out
You’re gonna do things you don’t wanna do
You’re gonna say things you don’t want to say
But you know it would never happen had you kept away
You better watch out
You’re gonna see things you don’t want to see
You’re gonna be things you don’t want to be
But you know it would never happen had you listened to me
You better watch out
You’re gonna know things you don’t want to know
You’re gonna go where you don’t want to go
But you know it would never happen had you let it go
You better watch out
Fred Wolford - drums
Craig Abaya - vocals, guitars, bass
Regret
Forfeit what you’ve got, walk away from your lot
Nothing ventured, nothing gained, that’s what they say
So you emptied out your life
of your wrongs and your rights
Trying to wipe away a life of regret
Chasing after your lost youth
Still ignoring so much truth
You abandoned what you had for so long
Built from thinking you were so right
You’ve replaced your whole life
with the same disregard you’ll regret
Could it be that my mere presence
casts a shadow on your charade?
And so you consider me a threat
Do you ever look in the mirror?
Do you ever face the truth?
Or just hide behind an illusion of regret?
I tried to reach out, day in and day out
In return, I got nothing at all
So I walked on and carried on
Couldn’t let it linger on
So I stopped… hoping for something
I stopped… thinking it meant something
So, I stopped… before I’d do something
that I’d regret
Don’t You Do This To Me
You drive me crazy when you come around
I just don’t know what to do
it jolts my heart and turns it upside-down
when I set eyes on you
You get me going with those sweet, sweet memories
and it just wasn’t meant to be
and even if it was, it’s too late now
The sun was setting on the way it was
but that’s the way it was meant to be
but you come knocking and I come running
Don’t you do this to me
My mind’s made up but my heart’s so weak
so don’t go touching those nerves in me
reminding me of how it used to be
Don’t you do this, don’t you do this to me
Was something strong that brought us together
but something stronger just tore us apart
I should know better, I think it’s better if you
don’t go messing with my heart
It takes some time when you douse a flame
You could get burned ‘cause there’s still some heat
We can’t return ‘cause it’s not the same
Don’t you do this, don’t you do this to me
You drive me mad with those sweet sweet memories
I’m not ready, I’m so unsteady
I’ve got to get you out of my head
But now it’s gone, our love is dead
Kenney Dale Johson - drums
Eric McCann - bass
Danelle Abaya - vocals (the siren)
Fred Wolford - additional backing vocals
Craig Abaya - vocals, guitars
Silly Sentimental Fool
Passing hours, passing days
Hope our days be always there
Life’s directions, incongruent
But still affluent with love and care
And me, I’m just a silly sentimental fool
Convinced that our past really means a thing
Clinging onto days that we have spent
When many more are waiting in the wings
For this silly sentimental fool
For each other, we’ve always cared
The times we shared, we had lots of fun
New horizons, time for growing
Although you’re going, you will never be gone
And me, I’m just a silly sentimental fool
Convinced that our past really means a thing
Clinging onto days that we have spent
When many more are waiting in the wings
For this silly sentimental fool
Sometimes fate can really be cruel
Sometimes fate can really be cruel
For a silly sentimental fool
Will I Walk On Water
I feel the hard wind
blowing against my face
Spun in all directions
and now I’m lost in this crazy race
Caught in the undertow, it’s hard to know which way to go
Keeping my head strong, I feel the cold
Clinging to the shelter that each day holds
But somewhere beyond I know
You rest beyond the shadows
with your outstretched arm,
reaching out to keep me calm, asking,
Will you walk on water?
Face the tough winds ahead
Will I walk on water?
With trying storms on every bend
Somehow I know
the voice I hear, I should follow
Calling out in striking psalm
assuring me I’ll be safe from harm
Have no fear, throw your cares behind
You can make your burdens mine
I need to step from this boat
heed His call with no further thought
Take my eyes off the seas, make my way through the breeze
He is there beyond the shadows
asking me
Face these tough winds ahead
With trying storms on every bend
Amidst these seas of confusion
I’m pressed with a decision
Will I walk on Water?
Craig Abaya - vocals, guitars, bass, drums, organ, tambourine

I Walk the Fire
I’m aging as I seek my destiny
I’m waging a war inside of me
I’m raging like the waters of the sea
I’m gauging the edge of sanity
I’m craving some sensitivity
I’m raving about things that I can see
Engraving my mark on destiny
Behaving how I’m supposed to be
I’m saying things will work out fine
I’m praying it’s more than just a line
I’m straying, losing track of time
I’m laying my life right on the line
I walk the fire
I’m trying so hard to reach my goal
Denying the things tnat make me whole
I’m crying deep inside my soul
I’m dying as the struggle take its toll
I walk the fire
Awaking deep in the middle of the night
I’m shaking with the fear that I just might
be making moves that aren’t quite right
I’m making it clear I need to fight
Somewhere in me is the struggle to achieve
No guarantee we’ll reach the dreams we see
But there indeed is a yearning and a need
‘cause where are we without reason to believe
I walk the fire
Fred Wolford - drums
Mike Castro - congas
Craig Abaya - vocals, guitars, bass, sarunay
Perhaps Another Spring
Just another golden sunset for you and me
like so many that have come and gone before
saying day shall turn to evening
come the cloak of mother night
another sun has made its way from shore to shore
the more the days are added, the less it’s cut and dried
the harder to reconcile everything
as feelings become jaded, it get’s harder to believe
that just on the horizon can be seen
perhaps another spring
All those trials and tribulations
that we managed to survive
Somewhere, beneath these scars, we’re still alive
Learned so much from each other,
Although we may be apart, still a part
of each other’s separate lives
The more the days are added, the less it’s cut and dried
the harder to reconcile everything
As feelings become clouded, it’s gets harder to believe
that just on the horizon can be seen
perhaps another spring
The more the days are added, the more it’s cut and dried
the easier to reconcile everything
As feelings gain perspective, it gets easier to believe
that just on the horizon can be seen
perhaps another spring
Craig Abaya - vocals, guitar, piano, mandolin, virtual instruments
When the Sun Goes Down
The things you do make my temper rise,
To think of you makes me despise you
To resume my life, I am inclined
to burn this worthless bridge behind with you
Don’t let the sun go down on this anger
Don’t let the sun go down on this hate
You’ve got to clean the slate
although you’ve been pushed around
Can’t let the bitterness remain
when the sun goes down
To fix a brokenness inside
you pushed me and my life aside from you
Despite my pride, I longed inside
Connecting, but have been denied by you
I know my intentions just might seem unclear
unaware of the things that you’ve done
to make me disappear
But I know that it’s wrapped up
in some kind of hurt or some kind of fear
May it make my heart soften
You turn your back on our shared blood
I guard myself and ones I love, from you
So I remain in your denial
May take a while to reconcile with you
Don’t let the sun go down on this anger
Don’t let the sun go down on this hate
You’ve got to clean the slate
although you’ve been pushed around
Can’t let the bitterness remain
when the sun goes down
Fred Wolford - drums
Perry Birch - bass

Restless Soul
Can’t settle myself, I just can’t stand still
‘cause something’s moving in for the kill
Get out before I lose control
Get out before I lose my soul
Get out I’m tired of living against my will
Breaking away from this endless trance
I ain’t going to get a second chance
Got nothing to say, got nothing to prove
The time has come and I’m making my move
It’s time to take control of circumstance
Unfinished business, distractions getting a hold of me
Lord, why do I have this restless
Sole survivor, restless indeed
The grindstone’s gettin’ the best out of me
I’m tired of all this selflessness,
Just tear into the wilderness
and feel the welcome rush of uncertainty
Some say I got it good but I can’t stay put like they say I should
Lord, why do I have this restless soul?
Can’t settle myself, I just can’t stand still
‘cause something’s moving in for the kill
Get out before I lose control
Get out before I lose my soul
Get out I’m tired of living against my will
I’m feeling so restless.
You leave me so breathless
Some say I got it good but I can’t stay put like they say I should
Lord, why do I have this restless soul?
Craig Abaya - vocals, guitars, bass, drums
If It Could Be You
Is it asking too much to want to feel the touch
of someone who really knows?
Someone to help me through
when I don’t know what to do
Is it asking too much if it could be you?
Would I feel like a fool, trying hard to stay cool
if I found out you didn’t want me too?
Wouldn’t know what to do
I just wouldn’t have a clue
Is it asking too much if it could be you?
I could settle with somebody else if I tried
Someone good to me, who’d stay by my side
But soon I’d realize, if she didn’t empathize
With these visions I’d still feel lonely deep inside
Dreams of walking hand in hand
with someone who understands
Sadly, doesn’t always come true
Only one thing I can say
If you’re feeling the same way
Is it asking too much if it could be you?
I could settle with somebody else if I tried
Someone good to me, who’d stay by my side
But soon I’d realize, if she didn’t empathize
With these visions I’d still feel lonely deep inside
Dreams of walking hand in hand
With someone who understands
Sadly, doesn’t always come true
Only one thing I can say,
If you’re feeling the same way
Is it asking too much if it could be you?
Kenney Dale Johnson - drums
Eric McCann - bass
Dan Alvarez - organ
Craig Abaya - vocals, guitars
Circles
Strolling through the meadows
The sun just shining down
Amazed by all the beauty that surrounds
Don’t want to keep asking questions
’though I’ll sometimes wonder why
Just accept the gifts of life, the land, the sky
Don’t want to keep on going ‘round in circles, circles
Don’t want my mind to stir in disbelief
Don’t want to keep on going ‘round in circles, circles
The fact that I’ve got something’s a relief
I could never understand hatred
I could never understand love
There must be an iron fist in the velvet glove
Never questioned the simple pleasures
Never questioned your pretty eyes
I’m Just sometimes glad to have a small surprise
Don’t want to keep on going ‘round in circles, circles
Don’t want my mind to stir in disbelief
Don’t want to keep on going ‘round in circles, circles
The fact that I’ve got something’s a relief
Indian Summer
The memories fade
The distance grows
But they’re the same old thoughts and sentimental throes
The days ring in
The days ring out
Can’t see anything here someday to be dreaming about
You spend your life depressed
Think that you’ve missed the crest
When Grandma Moses hit the scene she proved her pastures were still green
You’re never too old to have dreams
There’s an indian summer around the bend
There’s an indian summer around the bend
There’ll come a time when wounds will mend
It’s going to be a real godsend
Just got to believe ‘cause it’s around the bend.
You think that you’re too old and it’s too late for goals
Both black and white are shades of gray and even dogs shall have their day
Stop raining on your own parade
There’s an indian summer around the bend
There’s an indian summer around the bend
There’ll come a time when wounds will mend. It’s going to be a real godsend
Just got to believe ‘cause it’s around the bend
And when the autumn nears we entertain our tears.
Although some leaves are falling
You’ve got to hear the calling
Stop wasting time recalling years
Danelle Abaya - backing vocals
Fred Wolford - drums
Craig Abaya - vocals, guitars, bass, drums
Whatever I Can Do
Twenty-five and so alive
Not a thought about how to survive
Unprepared when I arrived
To the call you would surely rise
Set your sights to do what’s right
Set aside your life to heed the calling
Pick me up and help me through
In myself I can see both of you
There’s so much that I have to do
Got this need like I’ve got something to prove
Cut these ties that kept things straight
Loose these binds that kept me safe from falling
Whatever I can do
Nothing flat and on my own
Far away from the things I called my home
Distracted by the things I’m seeing
Convinced myself that it’s fine just being alone
But our paths just seemed to align
Gotta stop and redefine my calling
Whatever I can do
I don’t wanna save myself if I can’t save the world around me
Can’t define that place I once called home
I’m going to realign the path before me, a different destination for me
I realize I wasn’t made to do it alone
See the wonder in your eyes, everyday holds such big surprise
The way your put your trust in me, little one you’re a lesson in disguise
Learn from me and I’ll learn from you
Do whatever I need to do for you
Whatever I can do
