The <strong>Pradhan</strong> <strong>Mantri</strong> <strong>Awas</strong> Yojana <strong>Delhi</strong> has made it possible for the people belong<strong>in</strong>g to the<br />
low and the middle <strong>in</strong>come groups to have homes that they can call their own and that too right<br />
<strong>in</strong> the heart of the national capital. People come to <strong>Delhi</strong> either <strong>in</strong> search of employment or for<br />

only to make it a reality for such people to have their homes with that the<br />
PM <strong>Awas</strong> Yojana <strong>Delhi</strong> has come <strong>in</strong>to be<strong>in</strong>g.
What is PM <strong>Awas</strong> <strong>Yojna</strong>?<br />
The PM <strong>Awas</strong> <strong>Yojna</strong> was launched <strong>in</strong> 2015. It is the Honorable Prime M<strong>in</strong>ister, Shri Narendra<br />
Modi’s <strong>in</strong>itiative towards provid<strong>in</strong>g f<strong>in</strong>ancial help to the urban population of India <strong>in</strong> a bid<br />
towards help<strong>in</strong>g them build their own abodes. Low and middle <strong>in</strong>come group <strong>in</strong>dividuals can<br />
also be a part of the <strong>Pradhan</strong> <strong>Mantri</strong> <strong>Awas</strong> Yojana along with people belong<strong>in</strong>g to the<br />
economically weaker sections of the society.<br />
Accord<strong>in</strong>g to the objective of this <strong>Pradhan</strong> <strong>Mantri</strong> <strong>Awas</strong> <strong>Yojna</strong>, the urban poor will get<br />
hous<strong>in</strong>g solution through the construction of around 200 lakh reasonably-priced apartments by<br />
the month of March <strong>in</strong> 2022. This is an <strong>in</strong>credible government hous<strong>in</strong>g scheme for the people of<br />
the low and the middle <strong>in</strong>come groups <strong>in</strong> <strong>Delhi</strong> who have always had this dream of hav<strong>in</strong>g their<br />
own residences <strong>in</strong> the national capital. However, there are certa<strong>in</strong> eligibility requirements that<br />
need to be satisfied by the home seekers who are <strong>in</strong> the look out of buy<strong>in</strong>g homes under this<br />
Yojana. Individuals who have an annual <strong>in</strong>come of Rs. 3 lakh and less are considered eligible to<br />
be a part of this scheme.
