Hawkes Bay run to Pointon Motors<br />
and Mt Bruce Reserve In May HB<br />
Branch was joined by Robert , Lance<br />
and Sonya from Wellington Branch<br />
and Peter and Sandra from Auckland<br />
Branch for our run to Masterton to<br />
visit Pointon Motors . Everyone<br />
enjoyed wandering around looking<br />
through this amazing collection of all<br />
things motor industry related and<br />
some amazing clothing from the 30s<br />
to 50s .We didn’t know if we would be<br />
able to get some members to leave in<br />
a hurry as there was so much to see.<br />
Many of us were told by our partners<br />
to keep our hands in our pockets and<br />
not to touch lol… Somehow Lance<br />
managed to walk away and purchase<br />
some Tobacco tins to add to his<br />
collection.<br />
From here we then planned to head North and up to<br />
Mt Bruce. This was delayed a little thanks to a flat tyre<br />
on Clint's car. Which turned out to be a good thing as<br />
we managed to run into 2 Eastland Branch members<br />
DJ and Maryanne who were down for the Golden<br />
Shears comp in Masterton.<br />
