TALKS AND SHOWCASES<br />
Political, athletic, and musical leaders are invited to<br />
engage our teens and kids. They provide words of<br />
encouragement and often showcase talents or share<br />
experiences. Youth are left inspired, hopeful, and<br />
supported in chasing their dreams. Among those<br />
who have visited are Divinity Roxx, Devon Kennard,<br />
Mayor Steve Fulop of Jersey City.<br />
WORKPLACE TOURS<br />
New City Kids partners with businesses to provide<br />
horizon-broadening experiences for Teen Life Interns<br />
through workplace tours. These tours are led by<br />
industry experts and provide insight into different<br />
career paths through their stories. Teens leave these<br />
tours with a vision for their future and connected to<br />
a diverse set of professionals.<br />
PANEL DISCUSSIONS<br />
In addition to workplace tours, New City Kids<br />
assembles professionals from specific industries for<br />
panel discussions on-site. These discussions provide<br />
a different look into various fields. These three types<br />
of experiences all help high school students to think<br />
beyond the limits of they already know.
