Seattle’s newest tunnel will provide a direct route on SR-

Bus service to Seattle Center is available via Metro routes

TAKE LINK LIGHT RAIL
Sound Transit’s Link light-rail system has 15 stops along
its route from Angle Lake, south of Sea-Tac Airport to the
University District. Light rail can connect you to a bus or
the Monorail, which will take you directly to Seattle Center.

CYCLE TO THE CENTER
Ride your bike to the event, it’s free! Seattle Center is
located between two major regional bike routes; it is
accessible from the Myrtle Edwards Bike Trail (which
connects Ballard to West Seattle and the Duwamish River
Trail) and the Dexter Avenue Bike Trail (which connects
downtown Seattle to Fremont, Wallingford, Green Lake
and the Burke-Gilman Trail). The two-way bicycle path is
open on the north side of Mercer Street between Dexter
Avenue N and Fifth Avenue N. Seattle Center has bike
racks so you can lock your bike. For maps of the routes,

BOARD A STREETCAR
Running at 15-minute intervals, the streetcar runs from
South Lake Union to downtown. Westlake connects to
other transit systems, including the Monorail, Metro and
Sound Transit buses. The streetcar connects to Metro
bus route 8, which goes to Seattle Center. For more

Besides the major routes to the Seattle Center via the
Mercer Street or Stewart Street exits off I-5, consider using
alternates routes, such as the new SR-99 Tunnel.

host, brings that kind of fun and excitement to a live stage
featuring a selection of the Greater Seattle area’s finest chefs.
The Bite Cooks! is located on Fisher Rooftop of Seattle Center.
COOKING DEMOS:
Each day local chefs will perform cooking demonstrations of some of
their favorite dishes and guests will have the opportunity to get a copy
of recipe to try at home! All demonstrations will be done on a fully
equipped stage provided by Albert Lee Appliance. Thank you to Charlie’s
Produce for a generous donation of fresh produce for The Bite Cooks!
MYSTERY INGREDIENT COOK–OFFS:
Who will be named The Bite Cooks! Master? Local chefs will go headto-head
in a mystery ingredient cook-off! For the cook-offs, chefs will
be given 3 mystery ingredients, a small pantry of basic cooking staples
and 30 minutes to make their dish. Then, it will be up to the audience to
judge the chef’s final entrée to determine the winner!
