In this document we are going to look mainly at images from the two rovers that are allegedly<br />
currently active on the surface of <strong>Mars</strong>, and also a small selection of images from redundant missions.<br />
The Opportunity rover has been active since 2004 and is still sending images back to the Earth.<br />
Incredibly it has exceeded its operational planned life expectancy by over 10 years. An identical<br />
rover, Spirit, was launched in the same time frame, but communication was lost in May 2011.<br />
