LEVEL 2 AWARD IN COUNSELLING CONCEPTS<br />
For those learners interested in exploring what<br />
counselling training entails, this qualifi cation offers a<br />
practical introduction. You will develop communication<br />
skills and gain important industry insight to help make<br />
informed career decisions. Learners will complete<br />
this qualifi cation with a full and comprehensive<br />
understanding of the following:<br />
• <strong>The</strong>rapeutic models of counselling, ethical<br />
frameworks and helping relationships.<br />
• Effective communication skills.<br />
• How to refl ect on personal development and<br />
identify areas for future development.<br />
LEVEL 2 AWARD IN COUNSELLING SKILLS<br />
This qualifi cation is made up of units developed in<br />
association with Skills for Health and the Sector<br />
Skills Council for the Health and Social Care<br />
Sector. It enhances and improves verbal and written<br />
communication skills, promotes personal growth and<br />
provides basic industry knowledge, preparing learners<br />
for progression onto appropriate further qualifi cations.<br />
Learners will complete this qualifi cation with a full and<br />
comprehensive understanding of the following:<br />
• How to refl ect on personal development and<br />
identify areas for future development.<br />
• What core counselling skills are, including how<br />
to establish a helping relationship and knowing<br />
