CALL FOR APPLICATIONS<br />

Submissions are due OCTOBER 15, <strong>2019</strong> to this website: https://www.mass-culture.org/millis<br />

Priority will be given to proposals for programs that are:<br />

• Free and open to the public to benefit the <strong>Millis</strong> community<br />

• First-time submissions<br />

Applicants are encouraged to include a sample of their work for consideration.<br />

Proposal requirements include:<br />

• A no-cost component for either participants and/or attendees (or some subset thereof)<br />

• Letters of support from the proposed partnering organization(s)<br />

• Proposed timeframe of when the program will run<br />

• If the program has received funding in the last three years, an explanation of actions to build<br />

the program’s sustainability<br />

• Confirmation of location within the Town of <strong>Millis</strong><br />

Special note: <strong>Millis</strong> High School Seniors may apply for funding to support their senior project<br />

requirement.<br />

The <strong>Millis</strong> Cultural Council is dedicated to promoting excellence, access, and diversity in the arts,<br />

humanities, and interpretive sciences in our community.<br />

From 9 a.m. -2 p.m.<br />

Rain or Shine<br />

We will accept almost all types of scrap metal i.e. Copper,<br />

Aluminum, Brass, Lead, Iron, & Steel.<br />

We will accept treadmills, stoves, dishwashers (at discretion),<br />

lawn mowers, old grills, etc.<br />

Local Pick-up - We ask for a $10 Donation.<br />

<strong>Medway</strong>, Medfield, Sherborn, Franklin pick up - We ask for<br />

a $20 Donation.<br />

EXCEPTIONS: We CANNOT take:<br />

1.Pressurized cans/containers of any kind. 2. Microwaves 3.<br />

Photovoltaic cells. 4. Anything containing Freon.<br />

TV’s: Flat Screen up to 55” or Tube up to 32” there is a $45<br />

charge.<br />

Computers: All computers, fax machines, printers, etc., there<br />

is a $10 charge each but a household cap of $50. In most cases<br />

I can remove the hard drive and return to you on the spot and<br />

return to you but I have had difficulty with some Apple products<br />

in the past.<br />

As always, we are happy to take scrap metal from anyone, from<br />

any community. This fundraiser has generated close to $3000 in<br />

the past for different <strong>Millis</strong> organizations as well as helping folks<br />

to clean up their clutter. Thanks to the <strong>Millis</strong> community and the<br />

surrounding communities for your continued support.<br />
