The Offertory Invitation
Lord, we cannot depart from you without your blessing. Forgive us, if that
seems bold, for we know how undeserving we are. Nevertheless, we
know that without your love, your guidance, your strength we are nothing.
So we cry out again: O Lord, bless us, we pray.
The Offertory Prayer
Lord, as you have blessed us we would be a blessing to others. In
that spirit we present our offerings for your blessing.
Divine love through me blesses and multiplies all that I have, all
that I give, and all that I receive, in the name of Jesus. Amen
A Vision of God in the Temple
In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a
throne, high and lofty; and the hem of his robe filled the
temple. 2 Seraphs were in attendance above him; each had
six wings: with two they covered their faces, and with two
they covered their feet, and with two they flew. 3 And one
called to another and said:
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
the whole earth is full of his glory.”
4 The pivots on the thresholds shook at the voices of those
who called, and the house filled with smoke. 5 And I said:
“Woe is me! I am lost, for I am a man of unclean lips, and I
live among a people of unclean lips; yet my eyes have seen
the King, the Lord of hosts!”
-Isaiah 6:1-5 (NRSV)
Dear Hope visitors and friends,
If you would like to become a member of Hope UMC Church and don’t
want to take that long walk down the aisle, you can join Hope Church
just by calling Reverend Green at 248-262-5129. We will begin the
process with your call or you can stop by the church office Tuesday
through Friday.
Hello Hope Family,
I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to you. I have
been on a journey with my health since December 2018, it still continues.
But your cards, calls and texts have certainly helped lift my spirits. To see
that many people cared is a healing in it self!
Again thanks for your thoughtfulness.
The Wall of Honor
Hope’s Wall of Honor is an everlasting tribute to our Veterans. It was designed and
donated to Hope by Brother Sid Taylor, a US Marine, Vietnam combat veteran and
beloved member of Hope. It is a memorial tribute to commemorate the sacrifices our
veterans have made for our country. We are grateful to Sid and his family for blessing
us all with the
beautiful Wall of
New names are added to the Wall of Honor every Veteran’s Day. If you, a loved one, or
a friend served in the armed forces and would like to be added to the Wall, please
complete the Wall of Honor form located in the Literature Rack and place it in the Wall of
Honor mailbox outside the Sanctuary. God bless you.
