WELCOME OUR NEW MEMBERS

During my work in different departments
of Human Resources and Personnel
Development, my deep interest in the
psychology of learning and motivation was
born. I recognized more and more people
suffering from stress-related health and
behavioural problems because of major
changes in living and working conditions
(industrialization).
Later my experiences as a mother gave
me the idea to do something. The idea to
work with children and teenagers to get
them into contact with nature and animals
was born. In order to realize this work in
a nice way — not only for human beings
but also for animals — I had to learn
more about dogs and decided to attend
the International Dog Trainer Education
with Turid Rugaas and Anne-Lill Kvam in
2010/2011. When starting this education
I just wanted to learn more about how
dogs behave. I never wanted to become
a dog trainer. But I really couldn´t foresee
how deep Turid would get me in touch
with nearly the same problems in dogs. I
should have known better and Turid and
Anne-Lill planted a seed. More and more, I
started to think about making a change not
only in young people but also in dogs.
After finishing the education I founded
a company which in future will hopefully
publish dog-friendly books and
information. I´ve also started working with
clients. The more people know about the
nature of dogs, the better they will be
able to live together with them. The first
book we published was my own work,
which I developed during the dog trainer
education, a booklet giving some dogand
family-friendly advice and training
proposals for living together with children
and dogs.
Today my special interest is focused on
working with dogs showing behavioural
problems (for whatever reason), family
dogs (problem solving, also biting kids),
second-hand or shelter dogs, as well
as the psychology of learning in and
motivation of dogs. I try to teach owners
about dogs´ real nature, motivation as
well as being patient with their dogs and
themselves, and giving dogs time for
social learning and integration. At the end
even I became a dog trainer.
My husband and I live together with our
three children and two dogs in a small
town in Lorraine/France near Saarbrücken/
Germany.

Dog Handling" on Sat, 21. and Sun, 22.

Turid Rugaas has a special way with dogs. We
are pleased to offer you the chance to observe
her when handling dogs practically - this will be
the first suchlike seminar in Germany!
Schedule: The seminar is meant for beginners
and professionals. You may take part with or
without a dog. Turid will get to know every dog,
and consider the wishes of every participant.
However, the first obligation is to the dogs
present, so there can be only a projected
schedule.

For the dogs that are brought alone, a practical
seminar means a lot of excitement and work.
Therefore we ask you to bring your dogs with
you only for one day. Please tell us what day
you would prefer, Saturday or Sunday, when
registering.
The participation is limited! Please bring only
dogs along who are able to cope with the seminar
situation. We ask for some understanding
that no bitch in heat can be brought along.

canine behaviour, Turid Rugaas is presenting a
unique seminar. We don’t know when she will
be back so don’t miss this seminar!
As well as aspiring dog trainers and behaviourists,
this seminar is aimed towards any dog
lovers who wish to gain a better insight into
canine communication and behaviour.
