History<br />
Oasis Prince Design Group was founded in 2006 by Architect Amir Akhlaghi. OPD is a studio for<br />
sustainable architecture, futuristic concepts, unique designs and urbanism. Since then Amir and<br />
the team have focused on working on projects internationally where we can direct the project in<br />
line with our philosophy and add a unique value to.<br />
Vision<br />
Our vision is to design today for the future generations through sustainable and efficient designs.<br />
Mission<br />
Our mission is to come up with unique designs that suit the site and the client and regardless of the<br />
size of the project make them standout. Sustainability is in the heart of our designs by designing in<br />
a way that the project is empowered by the nature and using state of the art technologies.<br />
Philosophy<br />
Our company is established with the philosophy of sustainable designs. The nature of our designs<br />
are efficient and sustainable in line with the nature and environment of the project. From a<br />
practice perspective our environmental engineers and consultants along with our other specialist<br />
design teams work hand in hand with our architects to tailor make a project for the user and the<br />
site.<br />
Our projects are strategically directed by our think tank. Our think tank develops bespoke strategies<br />
to drive our environmental agenda and at the same time have integrated designs as per the needs<br />
of the project and the client.<br />
In our firm we believe in transparency and designing responsibly as if every project is our own and<br />
is competing in a challenge. We thrive on challenges and have always tried to opt for unique<br />
projects where we can add a special value to the project and have our signature ideas<br />

Seasoned designer active in the industry for over 20 years. He has done projects for some of the leading companies<br />
in the world through the years such as Bugatti, McLaren, Al Habtoor Motors, Adamas Consultants, Artica<br />
Consultants, Hassani Group Of Companies, etc.<br />
He started OPD in 2006 as a small studio of smart people with the marketing strategy through the years being transparent with clients<br />
and a professional approach which has worked very well for so far. He looks at his designs like a piece of art and only put his<br />
signatures on unique projects that he can add value to.<br />
Amir has a sustainable approach for all projects which have included through the years from high rise buildings, mixed use apartments,<br />
urban design, master plans, landscape design, luxury villas, luxury showrooms, furniture, product & industrial design.<br />
Amir has a reputation for transforming projects with flaws and doing projects on very difficult plots with lots of requirements and<br />
challenges.<br />
Amir not only does all the concept designs but also treats projects like his own and ensures excellence and quality until the project is<br />
built and ready to use. Amir makes final decision on all strategic matters but is very democratic in his approach and treats everyone’s<br />
opinion as valuable and equal. He is also very practical and has designed and built many of the elements of the studio himself.<br />
Amir is also a university professor since 2007 and provides<br />
job opportunities to his top students at the firm.<br />

…in search of new clues<br />
Concept Design:<br />
A scientific laboratory is a core learning space for any modern university. Here the expansion of knowledge boundaries takes place. The development of any<br />
university as an organism relies primarily on the quality and quantity of the researches, experiments, observations and measurements performed at its<br />
laboratories. Hence, we adopted the metaphor of a cell “nucleus” as our theme. To give this notion an exclusive motion, the first part, i.e. “nu” was replaced<br />
with a homophonous word, i.e. “new” in order to create an innovative name, i.e. “NEWCLEUS” for the project.<br />
To reinforce the innovative character of the NEWCLEUS, the motto of “…in search of new clues” was composed with an anagram of the second part of the<br />
theme word.<br />
crescent, as a local cultural symbol, from an aerial view. The wing sections meet in the middle to form a centromere representing an assembly point for the<br />
interdisciplinary communications among different scientists.<br />
As for the water supply, we have envisaged two revolutionary technologies. For the drinking water, we will use Atmospheric Water Generator (AWG) to create<br />
pure drinking water from the humidity in the air. For irrigation, we consider the air harvesting technology. The building will enjoy sterilized air inside and<br />
around 600 rooftop solar panels.<br />
Last but not least, proudly hoisted on top of the NEWCLEUS and reflected in an underneath fountain goes the UAE flag.

VILLA A<br />
The concept design is shaped like the letter “A” for Ayoob and<br />
therefore gives us an inward shape for the sake of privacy and dividing<br />
the sections in a way to have synergy with the culture of the region.<br />
This inward shape from the other side looks like hands open for a hug.<br />
This gives enough feel for the privacy but has the attraction and the<br />
inviting gesture which gives a safe feeling inside the hug of this Villa.<br />
This shape also allows a nice blow of wind cooling the area down in<br />
the summer seasons.

SHOWROOM<br />
The challenge was to do justice to the most expensive, the most<br />
luxurious and the fastest car on the earth. A VIP feel and an exclusive<br />
atmosphere is an understatement of what is required in such a<br />
project. With a challenging site in the most luxurious city in the world,<br />
we came up with a design and ideas such as the brand wall hiding the<br />
pillars that stayed true to the philosophy of the brand and had<br />
everything required in the showroom. The regulations were surpassed<br />
and the result was a special showroom for a special car. The<br />
showroom although very beautiful however does not take the<br />
attention away from the real deal which is the car itself. The project<br />
was proposed by a number of high profile companies but they all<br />
failed to meet the specifications and regulations on the site but at the<br />
same time provide a nice design. This is the biggest Bugatti Showroom<br />
in the world.

The concept design of the facade is inspired from one of the unique<br />
traditional items in Iraq which is named "Shanasheel" . As observed in<br />
the section of shanasheel, we realized the thought that we can<br />
integrate this as an Intelligent and sustainable element to modern<br />
design. Incorporating it to our façade, we come up to a simple but<br />
meaningful context and also to have a very unique and Iraqi original<br />
design which is matching with the Atmosphere as we can control the<br />
sun light and use a suitable green area which can give more comfort<br />
to the patients The massing of hospital is inspired of Islamic pattern<br />
which we can find at many place in Baghdad and very familiar as an<br />
iconic texture for the people and at it will shine from inside out that<br />
makes more attractive during the night.

SHOWROOM<br />
The McLaren showroom in Dubai was designed with the idea of<br />
showing off the raw power of the engines and the cars as soldiers<br />
marching in the showroom. Once again a modern and minimal<br />
approach has to be taken not to take away attention from the cars but<br />
the design has to show the luxurious nature of the brand and give the<br />
fast and powerful feel of the cars to the visitors. All the furniture was<br />
designed by OPD to mirror the cars and the brand itself

Khaimah villa<br />

The method of protection from heat and sun light is one of the<br />
biggest challenges in the desert environment. One of the most famous<br />
elements of protection has traditionally been tents (kheimah) used by<br />
tye bedouin people to create a shade.<br />
This concept has inspired us in the design of this villa. We have used<br />
the concept of tent but transformed the front elements to modern<br />
design but with the same sitting area vibe showing off the great views<br />
of Dubai's architecture.

his projects that were in the top range for him.
