Be in BV is coming up<br />
Hello - we can’t help ourselves; we just keep on having<br />
fun! Mark your calendar and be sure to BE in BV on<br />
September 14th! This is an exciting event that is hosted<br />
by the <strong>Beaver</strong> <strong>Valley</strong> Dynamic Aging Society. Last year,<br />
its first year, it was a success with 40+ exhibitors. This<br />
year, in partnership with <strong>Trail</strong>’s IncrEDIBLE Farmers<br />
Market, a farmers market and food trucks will added.<br />
What is BE in BV? Well, it is an event that showcases<br />
lifestyle activities for all ages throughout the region.<br />

West Kootenay Annual Toy Run<br />
First held in 1988 with 15 local riders, the Toy Run<br />
now features hundreds of participants, with more than<br />
$30,000 being raised annually for local food banks,<br />
women’s shelters, the Salvation Army, various family<br />
support organizations and high school bursaries, as well<br />
as hundreds of toys that are donated to the local Salvation<br />
Army organizations for their Christmas hampers.<br />
The 2019 West Kootenay Toy Run’s annual Toy Run<br />
will be held on Sunday, September 8 begining at 8 am.<br />
Hundreds of motorcycles ride from the Castlegar Recreation<br />
Complex to Nelson’s Baker Street, to Salmo Fire<br />
Hall, to <strong>Trail</strong> Waneta Plaza, to <strong>Rossland</strong> Columbia Avenue<br />
then back to Castlegar for prizes, raffle and the winning<br />
of a brand new Harley Davidson motorcycle, plus<br />
