A Monarch Waystation
Monarch Butterflies cannot
resist Liatris Ligulistylis or Meadow
Blazing Star, not to be confused
with other Blazing Stars that don’t
attract Monarchs the same way.
Our beautiful Monarchs need our
help! While their numbers this past
season do show an increase over the
previous year, this follows years of
steady decreases, with their populations having
dropped for the last two decades. Their threats
still exist. The Monarch was once one of the
most common butterflies, known not only for
their beauty, but for their amazing migration of
thousands of miles across Canada, the United
States, and Mexico.
