mail in Green Valley Lake, Running
Springs, and Skyforest. The
Mountain Lifestyle is also distributed
for customers to pick up in
the above cities and others on the
mountain, as well as targeted locations
and visitor centers ‘down
the hill’ in San Bernardino County.

Tour 2019
The Artisans of Green Valley
Lake will open their home studios
to the public during the 2019 Labor
Day Weekend, Saturday, August
31st; Sunday, September 1st; and
Monday, September 2nd. Studios
will be open on Saturday and Sunday
from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.,
and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. to
2:00 p.m.
Browse and shop for unique
hand-crafted items and visit the artists
in their home studios. Meet the
Artisans, who are available to discuss
their work. The tour will feature
a variety of fragrant candles,
hand-knit and crochet items, photographs,
handmade cards, tote bags,
hostess decor, plate ware, jewelry,
hand-painted china, and so much
more.
Flyers and maps will be available
at most of the Green Valley
Lake businesses.

The Rim of the World Trails Alliance
hosted a hike and Board
Meeting at Snow Valley on Friday,
August 23. Kevin Somes, Snow
Valley’s Vice President and General
Manager and Trails Alliance
President is a trained naturalist/environmental
educator with nearly
25 years of experience. The group
enjoyed a ride on the Snow Valley
Express and then a hike led by Kev-
The Mountain Homeless Coalition
along with Mental Health Services
have formed a partnership and
they are holding 2 events in September.
The First one is in Crestline on
Friday Sept. 13, and the location is
yet to be determined. The 2nd will
be in Big Bear on September 19.
Both events are scheduled to go
from 10am – 3pm and will have registration
for help and resources, registration
for free dental clinic in San
Bernardino the weekend of September
27-28, identification assistance,
showers, laundry, food, food cards,
gas cards, haircuts, job information,
housing information and more….
The CDA sponsored event (California
Dental Association) will accept
online registration for the Free
Dental Clinic on Friday September

Upon arrival to Snow Valley’s Pine
Room, the group had a pizza dinner
provided by Snow Valley while
holding its August Board Meeting.
The Alliance is currently completing
the long process of becoming a
federally recognized non-profit organization.
Snow Valley is providing
initial funding for the Alliance
to begin its efforts and the Alliance
has grand plans for the future.
Community members are welcome
to attend future meetings and any
comments are certainly welcome.

The 45th Annual Home Tour

This year 45th Annual Home
Tour focuses on Art and Living. The
very successful tour features two
lake front properties this year. The
Saturday, September 21 Home Tour
is from 9am-5pm.
This year you’ll experience
the Art of Living in Lake Arrowhead
at an Art Gallery home, three Lakefront
Estates, and a French Chateau
at the Summit Peak. Also enjoy the
Wine & Cheese Reception at Burnt
Mill. The Lake Arrowhead Home
Tour is a rare experience to tour 5
magnificent estates in the Lake Arrowhead
Communities and explore
the private lake up close.
The highlight this year is a
Tavern bay home nicknamed “Candyland”
changing into a regular art
gallery. The home is owned by the
publisher of Art & Living Magazine.
The gallery is adorned with celebrated
artists and local artisans. The Candyland
Gallery will showcase many
of the artists known by the owner.
The home will be presented by Pam
Galloway and Joe Arredondo from
Timberline in the Glen, a local antiques
and fine furnishings purveyor.
The exterior of the home will also be
showing gallery pieces. Local landscaper
Four Seasons Landscaping of
Cedar Glen is the main designer.
The other home with a lakefront
viewing is in Meadow Bay
and is based more on entertaining.
Lighting is important and the home
is filled with different fixtures and
adds to the overall feeling of the
home. The home was previously
owned by a Walt Disney animator
and its shows his touch on some of
the walls.
Complimentary boat shut-
tle is provided to Shelter Cove and
Meadow Bay. Van shuttles provided
to departure Boat Docks, Tavern
Bay, Emerald Bay and Burnt Mill
Wine & Cheese Reception. Drive to
Chateau at the Summit.
With each ticket purchase,
please reserve either a morning or
afternoon complimentary boat shuttle
pass that will transport you to the
lake-access estates. This year there
are two lakefront homes accessed
by boat shuttle. Arrive anytime between
9:00am and 4:00pm
The morning boat shuttle
is from 9:00am - 1:00pm and the
afternoon boat shuttle is 1:00pm
– 4:00pm. A complimentary wine
reception will be provided on the
Home Tour from 12pm-5pm. Afterwards,
enjoy a wine tasting and
breathtaking lake views at Burnt
Mill Beach Club. Plus, you’ll get
a keepsake 2019 Home Tour wine
glass.
On Fri Sept 20 5:00pm-
8:00pm, (the Friday night before the
Tour), there will be a VIP GALA
ticket which includes a night at the
Meadow Bay lakefront estate with
dinner, special appetizers from the
homeowner’s new cook book repertoire,
desert, wine tasting & pairing
from an exclusive artisan wine-maker
and entertainment. This breathtaking,
intimate lake front gala party
includes an exclusive guided tour of
the Meadow Bay home.
Tickets to each event are
sold separately: The Saturday Home
Tour ticket is $75; Friday night VIP
Gala ticket is $125 and Saturday
night’s Art & Living Red Carpet
Party is $125. On Saturday night
after the tour, a “Meet the Artists”
after party will start at 6pm.

For our Library Beginners,
every Tuesday we jump, clap, shake
and dance our way through Kids on
the Move at 11:30AM. If that’s not
enough, we get our dance on again
on Thursdays at 12:30 with Tiny
Hoppers.
For our families, we host
Storytime every Wednesday at
5:00pm. We share stories, songs
and at the end we make an awesome
craft to cap off the program.
Adults we offer free Yoga
classes on Mondays and Wednesdays
at 12:00PM.
