CAROLINA 2019 2024 2029 2034 GEORGIA 2020 2025 2030 2035 Tournament Bids (Policy updated September 2018) Tournaments out for bid will be posted 90-days prior to the event; posting begins November 31 st through January 31 st for the upcoming competing year. The following tournaments will be placed for bid JO State and JO Regional. The tournament will be awarded to the highest bidder. All bids are reviewed by the Florida Board of Directors in conjunction with the JO Chairman. Bid fees are to be paid to the Florida Boxing Association LBC 14 within seven (7) days of approval. Bid fees include sanction fee and boxing equipment rental fees, if needed. Responsibility of the Bid Winner, in addition to the responsibilities of the sanction holder – • Provide a minimum of five (5) rooms at the host hotel for working Officials and Doctors. Room must be non-smoking, two-bed double occupancy: • Provide a trial scale (aka – test scale). • Venue, doctors, Ambulance and paramedics and awards (medals or trophies) are the responsibilities of Bid winner Mileage (Policy updated August 2019) Mileage is available to Official(s) and Doctor(s) registered with the Florida Boxing Association LBC 14. Official (s) and unpaid Doctor(s) will receive a stipend based on the following criteria: • If the Official and/or Doctor travels a combined mileage of less than 100 miles round trip from their stated address, as listed on USA Boxing Webpoint; the Official and/or Doctor will receive $10 • If the Official and/or Doctor travels a combined mileage of more than 100 miles round trip from their stated address, as listed on USA Boxing Webpoint; the Official and/or Doctor will receive $20 Mileage will be paid within 30 days from the end of the sanctioned event. For multiple day events, mileage is paid once. If lodging is available, the Official(s) or unpaid Doctor(s) will have the option to take lodging. If lodging is taken, no mileage will be provided. Mileage sheets will be provided to Official(s) and Doctor(s) whom have volunteered at the sanctioned event. The Chief of Officials will be responsible for providing the mileage sheets via email to floridausaboxing@aol.com along with an event log. Should an Official or Doctor forget to submit a mileage sheet to the Chief of Officials, you may send you mileage sheet to floridausaboxing@aol.com within 7 days of the sanctioned event.
Officials will be eligible for mileage after completion of five job shadowing sessions. Job shadowing sessions must be properly documented in the officials’ blue passbook. National Championship Awards and Request for Funds (Policy updated January 2019) Florida Boxing Association LBC 14 registered athletes are eligible for award monies. Award monies are earned when an athlete has competed and won a USA Boxing approved National event. Record of the win is listed on web point under the athlete’s profile. If it is not listed, the athlete will not be eligible for the award. Recognized National events include but are not limited to JO National, Elite and Youth Championships. The award money is provided to the athlete via check for $200; after the completion of the event. The athlete will receive a check via mail within 30 days of the event; if a check is not received send an email to floridausaboxing@aol.com – the Treasurer. Request for funds for monies must be sent to floridausaboxing@aol.com. Request can take up to 30 days to process. Elite and Youth Box-Off Award Money (Policy updated January 2019) Florida Boxing Association LBC 14 registered Elite and Youth athletes are eligible for award monies. Award monies are earned when an athlete has competed (walkovers excluded) at the LBC 14 Elite and Youth Box-Off. The award monies are to be used to participate at the USA Boxing Eastern Qualifier or USA Boxing Elite and Youth Championships. The award money is provided to the athlete via check for $150. Award winners will be documented after conclusion of each box-off event. Athletes will be asked to provide a copy of their itinerary and confirm registration to the upcoming qualifier. If a box off is not conducted within the LBC; athletes will be awarded monies according to the National Awards criteria. JO Stipend – (Athletes, Coaches and Officials) (Policy updated January 2019) Florida Boxing Association LBC 14 registered athletes, coaches and officials are eligible for stipend. Stipend is provided to athletes that have competed in a USA Boxing advancing tournament to participate in the JO Regional and JO National. Athletes representing Florida Boxing Association LBC 14 will be eligible for $25 per day, not including traveling dates. JO Chairman, the assisting coach and two (2) officials selected through the JO process will be also be eligible. Lodging during the Regional and National JO Championships will be provided to the JO Chairman and assisting coach. Official’s Clinics (Policy updated September 2018)
