Programme for 2019 Langley Park Charity Beer Festival

Langley Park – Could you help us?
Are you willing to offer some spare time to get involved in worthy community projects
where friendship and good fun are all prime objectives?
Rotary is changing. As a fresh initiative, we are now creating a new and dynamic
Network of people from all ages and backgrounds to join a Group of people willing to
volunteer some spare time to help us in the Langley Park area. We call it The
Community Builders Network
Most of us lead busy lives both at home and work, if you commute to work then you
probably start early and finish late. Not to mention the time spent bringing up a
modern family – if that is part of your life. So, we know that your spare time is
limited and precious. Yet most of us, if we could, would like to give something back
to build our local Community and Society at large.
As an example of our ongoing community work
we are now looking for people to help us
support lonely people by offering them
occasional help and support. You don’t need
to be medically-trained, you just need a desire
to help another fellow human.
We are also looking for people to help organise
this Beer Festival next year as part of our
Fundraising efforts.
Equally, we need assistance at our ‘Helmet and Clothing’ storage marquees at British
Superbike races, both at Brands Hatch and at other circuits in England.
But perhaps you have other ideas about how you would like to help Society as a
Rotary Volunteer?
The new group will meet informally for an hour or so to take part in projects and in
between use social media and technology to keep in touch to make sure people can
be engaged in projects even when they can’t get to physical meetings. A New
Rotary for busy, yet caring people on the move!
