Hydraulic Shoring System 

Coates Hire’s range of proprietary hydraulic shoring 

systems provide the ability to rapidly and safely install 

a high load capacity excavation support system for any 

size excavation. All of Coates Hire’s hydraulic shoring 

systems are designed with flexibility and robustness in 

mind so that the changing environment at your site can 

be accommodated without delay, or unforeseen cost. 

APPLICATIONS 

Coates Hires hydraulic shoring systems can be used to support 

retaining walls of any type. Some of the applications include: 

• Deep Shafts & Pits

All applications of Coates Hire’s range of proprietary hydraulic

Power Brace is a medium duty 

proprietary hydraulic waler 

system typically used for sheet 

piled excavations. It is ideal for 

applications where traditional 

shoring systems do not provide 

sufficient working room, or where 

high load capacity is required, or 

where large clear openings are 

required.

• Modular format allows for easy installation of large frame 

configurations with relatively light duty lifting equipment 

• Extremely rapid installation/ removal

The MP50 hydraulic strut is 

a proprietary hydraulic strut 

combining the strength in 

compression of steel tube with 

the convenience and flexibility of 

double-acting hydraulics. 

MP50 struts have a usable 

operating range of 2.5m to 

15.0m without the need for 

intermediate support and are 

able to withstand working axial 

loads of up to 50 tonnes.
