LAVENHAM FARMERS’ MARKET: Sundays
27th October, 24th November, 22nd December
In Lavenham Village Hall 10am-1.30pm. Awardwinning,
voted best market in Suffolk. Over 35 small
scale producers selling locally grown vegetables, home
baked pies and cakes, Suffolk game, honey, chutneys,
preserves and brewed ales. Delicious Farmers’ Cafe.
Free parking and entry.
LONG MELFORD FARMERS MARKET,
12th October, 9th November, 7th December
In Long Melford Village Hall, 9.30am-1pm. The relaunch
of this village’s farmers market in February was
a huge success and customers loved the range of
stalls including fresh baked bread, honey, fudge and
homemade cakes, cider, award winning meat and warm
wild boar sausage rolls, beautiful plants and a small
selection of local crafts. Free Entry

LONG MELFORD BOOK FAIR Saturdays,
2nd November, 14th December
At the Village Memorial Hall (opp Bull Hotel), 10am to
4pm. Up to 15 exhibitors selling secondhand, out of
print and collectable books. Paperback to antiquarian.
Often also postcards and ephemera. Homemade

SOUTH STOUR CHURCHES FESTIVAL.
30th September - 1st November
A major arts, crafts, music and literary festival to
be held in the 15 beautiful churches in the North
Hinckford benefice on the Essex side of the River
Stour throughout October, celebrating the diversity of
local talent in the creative arts in our 15 communities.
A diverse programme of events will be hosted in
the inspiring 15 beautiful iconic churches set in the
stunning countryside of the South Stour Valley. All
events free to attend, although any donations to the

LAVENHAM GUIDED WALKS
Our winter guided walking programme will continue
on Wednesday afternoons at 2 o’clock from the foyer
of The Swan Hotel in High Street. £4. Per person. No

will explore the streets of Lavenham and hear about
the fascinating history of this unique Medieval Manorial
village, told to you by our qualified Blue and Green

Christmas Lantern Tour starting from The Swan
Hotel, High Street will be on Saturday 7th December
at 4pm during the Christmas Fair weekend. The tour
will finish back at The Swan for mulled wine and
