Santa Cruise<br />

Santa is leaving his sleigh at home! Join Santa and his<br />

crew of elves for a festive family river cruise Sunday 8th,<br />

Saturday 14th and Sunday 15 December.<br />

Departing from The Granary, Quay Lane, Sudbury at<br />

11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm.<br />

£10 per person – includes a 30-minute boat trip, small<br />

gift for children, mince pies and mulled wine or hot<br />

LAVENHAM CHRISTMAS FAIR<br />

Friday 6th to Sunday 8th December<br />

Friday 5.30-8.30pm, Saturday 11am-5pm,<br />

Sunday 11am-4pm<br />

A three-day traditional extravaganza of festive fun, food<br />

and fizz, entertainment, children’s fairground, fifty stalls<br />

-- and attractions for all the family. Dickensian dressingup,<br />

Best Costume prize<br />

Commencing at 5.30pm on Friday with the arrival of<br />

Father Christmas and the lighting of the Christmas tree<br />

in the Marketplace, followed by non-stop entertainment<br />

and late-night shopping.<br />

Attractions include Father Christmas and his Elves in his grotto, Big Wheel, Hog Roast, hot food, artisan<br />

food, local meats and wine, mulled wine, chocolate, cheese, cakes, Christmas puddings, handcrafted<br />

silver and jewellery, clothes, toys, books, Christmas wreaths, garlands and trees and much more.<br />

Entertainment includes Sudbury-based singer/musician Ben Smith, D’Ukes Ukulele Band, Donimo the<br />

Jester Magician with his invisible dog, singer Serena Grant, Christmas songs and carols performed by<br />

the Sudbury Choral Society, Morris Dancing and a how-to-do-it workshop from Stowmarket’s Danegeld<br />

Morris Men and Women.<br />

Guided lantern tour of Lavenham on Saturday, folklore stories of traditions, legend and ghost tales<br />

ending with mulled wine and mince pies at The Swan hotel.<br />

Admission & parking is free. The stalls and entertainers are under cover, so whatever the weather<br />

Lavenham will give you a warm welcome.<br />
