Introducing…
Samantha Howard,
Director of Nursing and Patient Services
Sam joined Rennie Grove in December
2018 as Head of Children’s and Family
Services and became our Director of
Nursing in May 2019. Prior to joining
Rennie Grove, Sam worked as both
a children’s and adult nurse and has
extensive experience of running
community nursing teams. Here, Sam
tells us a bit more about herself:
Sum up your job in a sentence?
It’s my privilege to work with trustees,
senior management and nurses and other
clinicians at all levels to ensure that we
give our patients and families the high
standard of care and support they need
and deserve.
What do you like most about your job?
Knowing that I am responsible for a
service that gives people a real choice
about where they die and that we can
make it possible for that to be at home.
Outside of work, I like to….
Ride rollercoasters! Preferably at
Disney World in Florida.
What’s your favourite film?
I love all Disney films but my favourite
is The Little Mermaid. My favourite non-
Disney film is Buster – because I love
Phil Collins.
What’s your favourite food?
Mickey Mouse waffles served with fruit
and yogurt!
