REDCLIFFE TIGERS AFC
Established in 1974 and originally known as the Redcliffe Peninsula Australian Football Club, now known as the Redcliffe
Tigers AFC and will commence its 46th season in 2020.
Our program has produced many talented players who have gone on to successful careers at local, semi-professional and
professional level. Redcliffe Junior, Liam Dawson who was taken with pick 44 by the Brisbane Lions in the 2014 National
Draft, while Robert Williamson drafted in the late eighties to the original Brisbane Bears. Robert then returned to the Tigers
in 2005 to coach the senior team, and to play again at the Tigers.
In recent years the residential area surrounding the Redcliffe Tigers base has had the largest population growth in
Queensland. At the beginning of season 2020 the Redcliffe Tigers facilities, and player capacity will be greatly
enhanced with the establishment of a brand new complex located at Nathan Road. The new facility combined with the
Tigers original home at Rothwell Park will enable the club to grow the sport in the region, whilst providing improved
SENIORS & RESERVES
The senior and reserve grade men’s teams have a long history of participating in successful
finals campaigns, as can be seen in our Premiership victories. Since becoming known
as the Redcliffe Tigers, we have won five Senior Premierships with the first coming in
1988, followed by further success in 2002, 2005, 2008 and 2012.
Our Reserve grade side has had more recent success, with them bringing home the
QFA Division 3 Premiership flag in 2018.
We are proud that many of the reserve grade players are long standing club members,
some who have been playing at the club for over 15 years. We welcome all players and
hope that they find a home in our team-orientated environment.

WOMEN
Women first took to the field in the Redcliffe Tigers stripes in 2003, and brought
home the Premiership flag in Division 2 in 2005. In 2019 the women’s program
was re-launched with great success, with the team making it to the finals in
fourth position. An U17G team took to the field for the first year also in 2019.
With a strategic five year plan, the women’s program will continue to grow in
the coming years. The club has applied to field a second senior women’s team
in the 2020 season, and has plans to field girls’s teams in the U17s, U15s and
13s youth schedule as well.

COLTS
Colts will be returning to the field in 2020 allowing the Tigers to
bridge the gap between youth and senior football. With a focus on
continued skill development and preparation for senior competition,
the Colts program will ensure that every age group is catered for at
the Redcliffe Tigers.

MASTERS
Every fortnight from March till September our two Masters teams,
Over 35s & Over 45s travel between the Gold Coast and the Sunshine
Coast, to play rival masters teams. They strap on their footy boots,
and prove that there is no age limit to having fun on the football field.
Their stripes maybe a little grey, and recovery take a little longer, but
the competitive nature and love for football still burns bright.

ROYS ROOKIES,
JUNIORS & YOUTH
With continual growth for the past few seasons, 2019 saw over
250 players, between the age of 6 and 17, in 16 teams earning
their stripes. With club’s continued commitment to helping young
footballers develop their skills in a fun and inclusive environment,
junior football will continue to thrive at the Tigers.
