League baseball, Parks & Rec soccer,
flag football and Y basketball
teams.
“Fitness and athletics are a big
part of my life and I love sharing
that with my kids,” says Tony, who
is a systems engineer at Collins
Aerospace — he previously
worked at Sikorsky Aircraft and
Kaman Aerospace.
Anna worked at Pratt & Whitney
from 1997-2017, first as an
engineer and then as a logistics
program manager in support
of various Air Force customers
around the world. She left to
spend more time with her children
and “to pursue the dream of owning
my own business.”

Anna received a bachelor’s in
aerospace engineering from Ryerson
University (1997), a master’s
in mechanical engineering from
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
(2001) and an MBA from RPI
(’03). She also holds a bachelor’s
(’07) and master’s (’17) in nutrition
from the University of Saint
Joseph in West Hartford.
Tony graduated from Worcester
Polytechnic Institute with a
bachelor’s in electrical engineering
(’92), and he holds an MBA from
Western New England University
(’03) and a master’s in systems
engineering from WPI (2012).
Plus, they are avid DIYers who
have completed numerous projects
in and around the house. “Over
the years we have built retaining
walls, reframed walls, rebuilt a
kitchen, replaced windows and
built a shed and a garage,” Anna
says.
When this fast-paced swim
family looks to slow the tempo,
time as a family — and with
friends — is a priority.
“We have a wood-fired pizza
oven and a firepit,” says Tony, “and
enjoy having people over to eat
and hang out.”
On the family front, meals together
are likewise key. Anna says
that swim schedules make it tough
to find time for family dinners
during the week, “but we make the
most of it on the weekend and we
eat together as often as we possibly
can.”
“There is something about sharing
a meal together that makes
everyone feel closer no matter
what else is going on.”
