Yacht Garbage Disposal
Ashore, there is only one place to dispose of yacht garbage – the skips located off the Fish Market Jetty
next to the Vegetable Market. These are reserved exclusively for yachties’ use.
Alternatively, yacht garbage may be delivered “at sea” to Daffodil Marine or other reliable water taxis;
charge usually $3.00 to $5.00 per bag. Dumping in unauthorized places is a prosecutable offence.

Admiralty Bay Waterfront Cleanup!
The Bequia Tourism Association and Action Bequia are jointly spearheading an
Admiralty Bay Waterfront Cleanup this Saturday Nov 9th, 7am - 12 noon
All waterfront businesses in Admiralty Bay, from Lower Bay to Hamilton, are being
encouraged to participate in this important event, and to be responsible for cleaning
their own stretch of shore before the busy Tourism period begins.
Action Bequia will contribute garbage bags, and ensure the removal of all collected
and bagged garbage, as well as the recycling of plastic and bottles retrieved in the cleanup.
Distinctive bags specifically for plastic collection will be provided.
Cloud Island Media has kindly volunteered to take pictures for the BTA
and Action Bequia websites, giving well-earned exposure to those who join the effort.
