COMMUNITY LIFE 2nd graders share their family ancestry and traditions at their Cultural <strong>Connections</strong> Celebration. New Middle School Electives Promote Student Choice At the start of last year, the Middle School implemented a new rotating schedule for students, allowing for longer classes and more in-depth learning. Another advantage to the new schedule, Seven Hills was able to offer student elective classes for the first time, to increase student choice and voice into the overall learning experience. From magazine making, to “garden and egg,” to band and vocal ensemble, these weekly elective classes have become a popular opportunity to connect with faculty, with each other, and with a new passion. 8 All smiles before the 1st grade musical performance of Frog and Road. COMMUNITY LIFE Honoring our veterans during the 7th grade trip to Washington, D.C. Working together to make the campus shine during Campus Beautification Day. Come one, come all, to the greatest Halloween Festival of all! An evening of celebration and connection at the All Community Parent Dinner. Inaugural Performing Arts Showcase a Success In May, Kindergarten through 8th grade students took the Hofmann Theatre stage at the Lesher Center for the Arts for an inaugural year-end performance for their families, teachers, and fellow students. Named “A Journey through the Arts,” the goal of the event was to celebrate the arc of the Seven Hills public speaking and performing arts curriculum over the years. With upbeat energy and varied performances, it was a true community celebration! 9
