kleinmanenergy.upenn.edu 13Piyush Goyal came to Penn campus last October, for ourCarnot Prize award ceremony and lecture. Soon after he arrived,an emergency in India pulled him home immediately. Pennstudents, faculty, deans, and friends gathered that day to paytribute to the minister, in his absence.Aaswath Raman, assistantprofessor of electrical andsystems engineering, gave alecture in honor of the minister.His talk title: “Harnessingthe Cold of Space as aRenewable Resource.”That day, our faculty directorpromised to bring the awardto Goyal in New Delhi.
