princess. Her hair was blonde and long, curling at
the bottom, and her skin was extremely pale I almost
felt it was transparent. She had a beautiful red ball
gown on, the skirt so wide I questioned how she
hadn’t wrinkled it in the car. “And finally” said Miss
Slater, taking the ID from my warm hand. “Perfect,
welcome Princess Rosalie of Canada” she gave me a
small smile before turning to the other two girls. “If
you would follow me inside ladies.”
My whole body deflated in relief as I placed my ID
back into my purse. Scrunching my silk pink dress
in my hands I took my first step inside the palace.
Once my silver heel met with the stone steps my
heart soared like a firework when it goes up into
the sky. I had managed to sneak behind enemy lines
undetected, my alias fully in place and no suspicions
aroused. I could picture my father at home, rejoicing
and cheering as his little girl had taken one step
closer to fulfilling his plan.
We followed Miss Slater down the hall. The palace
was just as beautiful as I had imagined. The walls
were ivory with gold bordering the walls and outlining
the doors. There were magnificent chandeliers
dotted on the ceilings, casting rainbows on the walls.
