The Prince
Before me stood the throne. My heart seeped
with anger at the sight of it, imagining the
person who sat upon, his face smug with
power. We were stood in a line with the red velvet
steps before us. Two guards stood either side of the
line and another two were placed beside the throne,
one holding a golden staff which he banged against
the floor twice, the thump echoing throughout the
throne room.
“Introducing their royal highnesses, King Warren
and Queen Leia” the guard yelled. All the princesses
chorused an inward breath as they entered. Queen
Leia lead, adorning a gorgeous silver dress that had
teardrops of glass falling from it. Her face was one of
beauty and kindness, her cheeks rosy and her smile
one to melt a million hearts. But it was also one of
age, with creases appearing at the corner of her smile,
eyes and lining her forehead. The King followed his
wife. He was pig-like and clearly a King who loved
