You’ll Love The Word More…

And God’s Power Will Flow!

PICC AM

Today is a historic day.

Today, we’re making a massive change at The Feast.

Ever since The Feast began, we packaged our talks under

specific topics. But next year, we will celebrate our spiritual family’s

40th Anniversary.

In the Bible, 40 years is one generation. I sense that God is

birthing a new generation— people who hunger to follow His Word.

Starting this month, instead of grouping our talks by topic, we

group our talks by the Books of the Bible. Together, we’ll go verse

by verse, chapter by chapter and story by story.

And we’ll start with the Gospel of Matthew.

We shall, with total humility, sit at the Master’s feet and allow the

text—as Divinely Inspired—to speak to our hearts.

I’m super excited.

Have an awesome Feast.

May your dreams come true,

BO SANCHEZ

Talk 1: Follow Your Leader

“There has been enough time for

you to be teachers—yet you still

need someone to teach you the first

lessons of God’s message. Instead

of eating solid food, you still have

to drink milk. Anyone who has to

drink milk is still a child, without

any experience in the matter of right

and wrong. Solid food, on the other

hand, is for adults, who through

practice are able to distinguish

between good and evil.”

—Hebrews 5:12-14

“This is the list of the ancestors of

Jesus Christ, a descendant of David,

who was a descendant of Abraham.”

—Matthew 1:1

“I will give you many descendants,

and they will become a great nation.

I will bless you and make your

name famous, so that you will be a

blessing. I will bless those who bless

you, But I will curse those who curse

you. And through you I will bless all

the nations.”

—Genesis 12:2-3

Personal Reflection and

Group Discussion:

New Beginnings

Friends, today we will embark on a new

journey.

We will start doing things differently

as we tweak our talks to a more Biblecentric

theme. It’s time that we delve

more into the greatest Book ever-written

and the most reliable moral compass.

At the beginning of every journey,

we often look for leadership to guide us

through the right path and to be with us

as our source of strength and inspiration.

After all, this new trip that we are about to

take together might be long, difficult and confusing at times.

But as the saying goes, the journey makes the destination more satisfying. I am humbled

to begin this biblical odyssey with you.

May Jesus lead the way.

In Him,

BIRTH OF A KING

Lessons and Inspiration

From the Book of Matthew

Who is really your King? When you

make decisions, who calls the shots

in your life?

May you have the faith that says, Nevertheless.

When God calls you from a place of comfort,

and into the great unknown, may you have

the audacity to say, Nevertheless.

Not my wants, not my preferences, not my needs,

but may God’s will be done in my life.

RECAP

Homily

The Gospel According to Luke 23:35-43 //

Feast of Christ the King

“It takes bravery to admit and embrace these

truths: You are not eternal. You are not that

important. You are not in control.” —Fr. Joel Jason

Accepting that we will die eventually teaches us to value the things

that truly matter and to evaluate if we are fulfilling our life’s purpose.

While we are created in the image and likeness of God, if we want

to be first, we must learn to die to ourselves and be the last.

Let go and let God. Surrender to the One who is truly in control to

experience life’s fullness; keeping in mind that Christ is a powerful King

who wants to empower us.

“Is your mind formed by the world

or by the spirit?” —Fr. Steve Tynan

God has his undivided attention on you.

He loves you as

though you are the

only one in this world.

◄ Ken Yasinski,

International Speaker and Author of

The Fullness of Purpose

The world evangelizes us 24/7. We must practice mindfulness and choose

the important things. We must ask ourselves: Are we brave enough to be

different from the people around us and pay the price?

Talks

Lord All Over

Ken Yasinski, Catholic motivational speaker and book author

Above All Names. Jesus’ Name alone is powerful. It is a prayer in itself.

We feel His power and presence even just by uttering “Jesus.”

Bitter or Better? Bitterness keeps us from seeing God’s blessings in our

lives. When we find ourselves suffering in life, do we feel resentful? Or do

we see our blessings despite our struggles?

Once we truly accept that God is our Good Shepherd, He will

always be enough.

Things to Live for. Are you living for eternity or just for fleeting

moments? Two things we can bring to Heaven: our soul and the souls of

the people we lead to Him.

Our Potential. The voice of mediocrity says to an acorn: You will forever

be an acorn. The voice of wisdom says: Do you see the tree from which you fell? Her

greatness is your potential.

The Kingdom of Jesus

Bro. Bo Sanchez and Bro. Audee Villaraza

Thy Kingdom Come. Did you know that the central theme of the

Gospel is Kingdom? Kingdom or Basileia — defined as the space where Jesus

is king —is mentioned162 times in the Bible.

Eden’s King and Queen. God created the world to be within His

kingdom and appointed Adam and Eve to be the King and Queen of the

Garden of Eden alongside Him. But the couple desired to define good and

evil apart from the Lord when they ate the forbidden fruit. Thus, Heaven

and Earth became separate domains. Chaos ensued as man ruled the

world apart from God. Then the Lord picked out David, to bring forth the

Messiah.

All About Jesus. We are called to expand God’s Kingdom.

Sometimes we think that we will only reach Heaven when we pass on. The

truth is it is in the Here and Now. When we bring our lives under the rule of

Jesus, we are annexing our lives to His Kingdom.

Kingdom building should not be a competition. We are all in this

together. It is not about us. It is and will always be about King Jesus.
