Weekend Dining Facility schedule set
The Fort Stewart weekend dining facility for May
15-16 is Vanguard Dining Facility, building 512. Fort
Stewart dining facility weekend serving hours are 10
a.m. to 1 p.m. for brunch, and 3:30-5:30 p.m. for dinner.

The Hunter Army Airfield weekend dining facility
for May 15-16 is the 1/75 Ranger Dining Facility,
building 110. Hunter Army Airfield dining facility
weekend serving hours are 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for
brunch, and 4:30-6 p.m. for dinner. The DFAC phone
number is 912-315-6209.
The Warrior Transition Battalion Dining Facility,
building 12902 in the National Guard training area,
weekend serving hours are breakfast, 8-9:30 a.m.;
lunch, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and dinner, 5-6:30 p.m.

Daily Gate Passes discontinued
Beginning Saturday, Daily Passes will no longer be
written at Fort Stewart or Hunter Army Airfield. To
gain entry to either installation, personnel will be
required to enter either Gate 1 at Fort Stewart or
Montgomery Gate at Hunter. All vehicles are subject
to inspection.
Drivers will be required to present a valid driver's
license, valid insurance, and valid registration. All
occupants must present a valid identification card
(i.e. CAC Card, Family Member ID, retiree ID, contractor
ID, driver's license or current year school ID)
to be cross-referenced against the Installation Bar
and Revocation Listing prior to entry being granted.
No changes will be made to the current procedures
concerning contractors, fleet contractors and special
event passes.
Personnel that are TDY, operating a rental vehicle,
new vehicle with temporary tags/plates must report
to the Vehicle Registration Offices either at Fort
Stewart, building 253, room 2064A, or Hunter Army
Airfield (Montgomery Gate) to request a multi-day/
extended pass (up to 30 days). Soldiers with visiting
Family and friends should report to the VRO to
request a multiday /extended pass on the arrival date
of guest.
Absentee ballot deadlines approaching
Military and civilian voters, submit your ballot
request for the May and June state primaries.
The following States will hold Primary Elections,
May-June, 2010 on the dates indicated:
May 18: Arkansas, Kentucky, Oregon,
Pennsylvania
May 25: Idaho
June 1: Alabama, Mississippi, New Mexico
June 8: California, Iowa, Maine, Montana, Nevada,
New Jersey, North Dakota, South Carolina, South
Dakota, Virginia
June 22: Utah
Register and request your ballot now. All members
of the U.S. Uniformed Services, government employees,
and their Family Members who are residents
from these states and have not yet submitted a registration
and ballot request for the 2010 calendar year
should do so as soon as possible.

SHRED IT! No appointment required.
To expedite the process, please remove all metal
objects from the documents. Positive security control
will be maintained until destroyed at the Fort
Stewart Recycling Processing Center. Turn-in for

Pennsylvania Voting Ballots due NLT May 17
Pennsylvania Military Voters, return your Absentee
Ballot NOW for the May 18, 2010 Special Congressional
Election! On May 18, Pennsylvania will hold a special
general election to fill the congressional vacancy left
by the passing of Congressman John Murtha.
The 12st Congressional District consists of all of
Greene County, and parts of Allegheny, Armstrong,
Cambria, Fayette, Indiana, Somerset, Washington,
and Westmoreland Counties.
Completed absentee ballots from members of the
military must be postmarked no later than 5 p.m.,
May 17, and received by the County Board of Elections
by 5 p.m., May 25. To make sure your ballot arrives by
the deadline, vote and return your ballot
IMMEDIATELY. If you want to vote in this election
and are a legal resident of the above District, call 767-
6044 for more information on absentee voting or log
on to www.fvap.gov.
Graduation photo, video clinic offered
Need a few pointers to help you get the best pos-
sible photos for the upcoming graduations? Fort
Stewart photo and video professionals will host a
clinic to give you pointers on how to get photos and
videos you'll treasure for a lifetime, 5 p.m.-6 p.m.,
May 14, at Hunter's Soldier Family Service Center,
building 167.
The clinic will provide how-to tips on shooting
video, taking pictures, and using social media to
share photos and videos with deployed loved ones.

Single Soldier Recreation Day cancelled
The event originally scheduled for May 13 and
later rescheduled for May 21 at Holbrook Pond
Recreation Area (off Hwy 144) has been cancelled.

Inbound traffic reduced at Harmon Gate
Inbound traffic at the Harmon Avenue Access
Control Point (Gate 3) will be reduced to one lane
from 8:30 a.m., May 17, through 4 p.m., May 21.
Subject closure is necessary to work on the canopy at
this gate. Detour signs and traffic control devices will
be displayed and posted for the duration of the closure.
Motorists are encouraged to avoid this area to
minimize traffic congestion and to be alert to changes
in traffic patterns around the area. For additional

Bridal Extravaganza sign-up deadline set
Registration deadline for the Bridal Extravaganza
is Friday. The event takes place 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., June
5. It is hosted by FMWR along with ASYMCA and
Operation Home Front, Club Stewart, building 405.
Event helps Soldiers and their brides who plan to
get married or renew wedding vows obtain a Alfred
Angelo wedding dress, bridesmaid or mother's dresses.
First group of attendees to complete an exhibitor
stamp card receives a spa gift bag valued at $300
from FMWR and ARBONNE. Admission is $3. Call

Out-processing briefs reduced
Due to the deployment of the 3rd Infantry Division
and the decrease in Soldier out-processing, the
Installation Military Personnel Division Outprocessing
section in the Audie Murphy Soldier
Service Center, building 253, will decrease their daily
out-processing briefing schedule from five days a
week to three days a week.
Out-processing briefings will be held on
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Start time of the
briefings will remain intact, 9 a.m. for Soldiers
separating in room 1094; 9 a.m. for pickup of
installation clearing papers in room 1049, and
9:30 a.m. for Soldiers with a permanent change of
station in room 1049.
This change will be reflected on all Soldiers separation

America's Kids Run held at Stewart,
Hunter
America’s Kids Run takes place at 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.,
Saturday at Stewart’s Jordan Youth Gym, building 608
and at Hunter at corner of Stephen Douglas Street
and North Perimeter Road, adjacent to Vet Clinic.
The run was designed for military youth (ages 5-13).
Parents will be allowed to run with their child, if
necessary. No charge and registered participants
receive an America's Kids Run T-shirt upon finishing
run.
There will be multiple activities set up after the run
(inflatable's, relays, obstacle course, music...). There
is an opportunity to win prizes. Register at 912-767-

New Pediatric Pharmacy opens at Winn
A new pediatric pharmacy is conveniently
located at Winn. This additional pharmacy location
will serve our pediatric population in a convenient
and timely fashion. Although small in
size, this new pharmacy will stock approximately
150 pediatric medications and even has a childfriendly
waiting area adjacent to the front desk of
the clinic.
With this new pharmacy, parents can have their
children seen at the pediatric clinic and pick up
any needed medications that the provider prescribes
without having to leave the area.
Pediatric Pharmacy hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.,
weekdays. Closed 12:15-1:15 p.m. for lunch daily.
New Hours at Stewart Furniture Store
Effective May 29, the Fort Stewart Furniture Store
will have new hours. The change is due to the recent
deployment. We are temporarily adjusting our hours
to Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.,
closed Sunday and Monday.
The hours will return to normal once the troops

Stewart commissary hosts Cast Lot Sale
The Fort Stewart commissary is vying to save customers
up to 50 percent more on groceries via its
semi-annual Cast Lot Sale today through Sunday.
The store is promising a wide variety of products
ranging from canned vegetables to juice boxes, laundry
detergent, paper products, pet foods, soft drinks
and much more. Make your premier benefit even

Hunter celebrates 70th anniversary
Everyone is invited to the ceremony celebrating
Hunter Army Airfield's 70th Anniversary, 3 p.m., May
19 behind Hunter Army Airfield's Base Operations
building on South Lightning Road. The ceremony
includes music by Savannah Winds; guest speaker
Bill Cathcart; a video from U.S. Representative Jack
Kingston; a wreath laying and a cake-cutting with
punch. Historic photos of Hunter will also be displayed
