To complete this project, the students were put into groups and were
assigned different tasks to carry out a survey.
Somerset house was chosen for the completion of this project. Somerset
House is a Large Neoclassical building located in London, on the south side of
Strand. The building was designed by Sir William Chambers in 1776. The
Georgian built palace like building is a grade I listed building.
The building currently accommodates for small businesses and an exhibition
centre.
Separate parts of the building were assigned to different groups.
From surveying the foray, the interior of the foray appeared modern and in
good condition.
The seating in the waiting area was a wooden made curved seat which was
fixed onto the floor.
There were two different ceiling heights and the glass peephole in the ceiling,
was a very interesting and modern feature. It allows people from the above
floor to be able to see who is in the waiting area waiting for them.
The large single glazed arched sash window was in good conditions. The
wooden window shutters folded neatly besides the window, and unfolded
which, worked as curtain.
