I needed The Quiet

I needed the quiet so He drew me aside,

Into the shadows where we could confide.

Away from the bustle where all the day long

I hurried and worried when active and strong.

I needed the quiet tho at first I rebelled

But gently, so gently, my cross He upheld

And whispered so sweetly of spiritual things

Tho weakened in body, my spirit took wings

To heights never dreamed of when active and gay.

He loves me so greatly He drew me away.

I needed the quiet. No prison my bed,

But a beautiful valley of blessings instead –

A place to grow richer in Jesus to hide.

I needed the quiet so He drew me aside.

Mom

Mom words can’t express how my heart feels, but I do know you’re in amazing hands. Mom you gave me 43

years of unconditional love and I’m grateful. Mom you taught me so many wonderful things, you took time to

always listen to me you loved me with all your heart you never steered me wrong, you always supported me

with whatever it was and you was stubborn at times. Mom you will always be in my heart. Mom I know

you’re at peace, so I’m at peace.

By His stripes, Mom you are healed.

A Letter to My TeTe

I have so much to say, how do I tell you I’m going to forever miss you!? All those late night 2 to 3 hour conversations

we had. Me listening to you tell me how I could be a better man, you making sure I was leading by example. I’m going

to miss the smile on your face, your smile always made me smile. When you were down, I was too. Now that you’re

gone, I’m asking myself, “What do I do when I need the better man talk, to laugh or just simple words of

encouragement?” I know you’re here in the spirit but TeTe its definitely not the same. Even through the text messages

we’ve shared, I feel I can hear your voice, the tone, what mood you were in… We shared a bond that was unbreakable.

I don’t know why The Man upstairs does what He does and I know I shouldn’t ask questions but I wish I could pick

up the phone and have a Man to man talk with Him. Although I know you’re in a better place and He needed you

more. I don’t mind being a little selfish when I say “you were in a better place here on earth.” Just to have you a little

while longer. You’ve done me well TeTe. You’ve showed me what unconditional love feels like. And for that I’m

forever grateful. Until we meet again.

Your Big Baby (Mariell)

If Roses grow in Heaven

Lord please pick a bunch for me

Place them in my grandmas arms

And tell her there from me

And when she turns and smiles

Give her a kiss for me

And hug her for a while

Remembering her will be easy

But there is a ache in my heart

That will never go away

Love Your Grandson

A Loving Sister

To My Queen

You’re the best sister ever. I had so many

Sis.

Love Connie & Alex

Big Sis.

You have left me but I spent every

day with you. I know you are in

heaven with Kennieth, Mom and

Dad. You was a mother to me.

When you told me not to do

something I didn’t but I love you.

I know I have faith it’s in

Hebrews 1:14 and I will truly

miss you talking to me.

Love Shirley (Antonette)
